CEO Mel Karmazin says he expects Sirius' advertising revenue to hit $100 Million by 2007 in an interview with AdAge (registration req'd). Also says "In 2007, we generate positive cash flow."
The plan? To sell ads on Sirius' 55 news, talk, entertainment and sports channels, with more flexible ad units such as 2-minute commercials and program sponsorships. Premium ad pricing (based on less clutter), and satellite radio's national footprint will be factors.
It's an interesting interview, especially with mentions of Sirius' 3G chipset being available for the 2005 holiday season, included with a "sort of PVR device in the satellite radio."
