Sirius Advertising on Infinity?

Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin said he wants to buy ?a whole bunch? of advertising on Howard Stern?s terrestrial radio show, but Infinity stations ?haven?t accepted it yet.? Infinity responded, “it’s up to the individual station.”

With Infinity buying up all of Ad Age magazine’s ads - all 24 pages worth - to promote their “Free FM” crap, I see no reason why any of the Infinity stations would balk at a little extra ad revenue. Afterall, with “Free FM” you get a whole lot of “free commercials” don’t you?

UPDATE: Apparently Mel was just kidding. Jim Collins, VP of Corp Communications at Sirius said, ?he was just joshing. It was a joke.?
