Why couldn't the NFL (Giants vs. Redskins) been on both XM and Sirius last night? This is outrageous. Mel, get it together!
because Sirius has a contract with the NFL and in order for Xm to air NFL games the contract needs to be tweaked in order for this to occur
Wow. You mean, all it ever would have taken to beat back the scourge of cancer is for a bunch of money-hoarding, navel-gazing celebutards to preen together for the cameras while, like, just standing up? So long as some magical number of media outlets all covered the non-event event together, then cancer would just -- POOF! -- disappear?
I can understand the participants in this monumental idiocy believing in the power of their own believing (insipid though they may be, there's an awful lot of truth at play in those McCain "celebrity" ads), but why in the world would (one would tend to think) sober, reasonable business types surrender their facilities to promote this pointlessness?
And, for the love of all that is lovable, why does XM have to air it on TWO channels? I mean, let the CC suits make fools of themselves -- it is, after all, what they do best -- but XM proper should keep right on doing the stuff that makes XM great.
Aw, well... at least satrad isn't quite as in the tank as it was for Live 8 and that Algore nightmare a couple years back...
Stop whining...! Having lost both of my parents to cancer, I applaud all of them for at least trying to bring some sort of attention to the issue.
Their attention might get a few people to open their wallets and help, and perhaps even better, learn more about it and actually do something additional.
But then, ykw, I'm sure you've thought of these things.
Can we donate SIRI stock? It's pretty much useless anyways.
Fluff, you want to see all channels on both services now. We get it.
