SIRIUS and XM celebrate Black Music Month
The brainchild of Stevie Wonder, songwriters/producers Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff and Motown founder Berry Gordy, among others; June was officially declared "Black Music Month" by President Jimmy Carter in 1979. Both XM and SIRIUS have kicked off their special music features and programming throughout the month of June.Check out the SIRIUS Black Music Month webpage with special R&B, hip-hop, jazz, blues and gospel programming. SIRIUS was honored to sit down with Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff recently, to talk about their career, their peers and Black Music Month.
