Sirius Canada now has their own app for the iPhone or iPod Touch, but much like the Sirius XM iPhone App offered in the States, there are some limitations.
Namely, no Howard Stern.
The functionality of the Sirius Canada iPhone App looks to be nearly identical to the Sirius XM iPhone App - including the ability to tag songs for purchase on iTunes. The similarities aren't much of a surprise (why reinvent the wheel?), but the publisher of the app is listed as Sirius Canada and not Sirius XM Radio, so updates and releases will be issued independent of each other.
If you're already a Sirius Canada subscriber, simply enter in your online listening username/password, and you can start listening immediately. If you're not a subscriber, you can visit Sirius Canada's website and sign-up for a 14-day free trial.

Hello,
I'm a sirius canada subscriber and
I've downloaded it and I'm impressed with it. The good news is that I don't have to pay extra for the streaming that the US sirius have to do with their so called "premium internet feed"
So, yes it is worth it... Would I pay and additional fee per month to get the internnet feed onto my Ipod..NO.
It just so happens an updated version of the Sirius XM app was released (now ver. 1.2.11).
It supposedly "improves overall application speed an reliability." Anybody try it yet?
i would not pay for i pod listening of sirius satellite radio but if the prices of their subscriptions were lower and more reasonable and affordable i may reconsider paying for I phone or Ipod streaming....I am Canadian .....
Great. The US 1.2.11 update broke my listening on the iPhone, but the Internet access from my computer still works. It complains "Basic Accounts Restricted" - but clearly since I still have 128k streaming at home, I am not Basic! This is getting old. Every time something changes, it breaks something else - which would be tolerable if the customer service wasn't also so terrible and unable to respond in a satisfactory and timely fashion to each new breakage.
hi all. this same problem is happening to me too that the person above my comment has pointed out. i paied for 128 and the website knows this, but now the app doesn't.
I think the problem today is not related to the new App - no one can get the online stream today except via xm radio online.

Today I had no problems connecting with the old version of the Sirius XM app via both WiFi and 3G. I think I'll hold off on the upgrade for a little while.
Anyone know if XM Canada will have their own Iphone application?
called xm canada today and was told the iphone app should be out december 1st. was told that a higher bitrate of 128 will be offered but didn't know if it would come with xtra charge.
