Sirius Conductor: Satellite Radio Comes Home
Introducing the Sirius Conductor, a SIRIUS Satellite Radio that will integrate into your home entertainment system. The Sirius Conductor is deceivingly simple, consisting only of a SIRIUS tuner, an indoor/outdoor antenna, and a universal remote with an integrated 3-line LCD display. And it's in the remote that all the power is hidden.
The 6-in-1 remote can be programmed to control your home-theater system, as well as the SIRIUS base station (up to 150 feet away). All the PAD data is displayed right on the remote: channel, artist and song. So if you're the type with speakers distributed throughout your home (multiple rooms, patio, kitchen, etc), all you need is the remote in your hand and you can control tunes anywhere in your house. Great idea.
The Conductor supports up to two audio zones [via Gizmodo]. So with an additional SiriusConnect Home Kit, you can listen to two different channels in two different rooms. (Yes, you'll need an additional subscription to pull that off.)
The Sirius Conductor will be available in November, and MSRP for only $150.

Great product, great price. adding the display on the universal remote was an awesome idea. Sirius has a very cool radio lineup going into the holiday season.

That is pretty cool. It would be really cool if the Logitec atapts this technology to their next gen. harmony remotes.

I'm with Kevin... when I bash Sirius' stuff, it's because I think it's crap... I'm not an XM fanboy.
But this I likey... especially at that price... my only problem with stuff like this is that then I have to run speaker wire to the other room... not easy in a flat-roof condo...

same here. i'm not one to drop kudos to the little doggie very often, but that's a cool piece of hardware.

While this is a good concept, I doubt this is gonna be good for the people this device targets.
I have bought many "home theater" remotes and have come to the conclusion that most of them suck. Somehow I am doubting that a satellite radio company got it right.
btw - settled on the Harmony 880 for now

I think this is something Sirius did right in a very long time.

Sirius previewed this unit back at CES in January at the Z-Wave Pavilion.
If they're supporting the full protocol, the remote can route messages back and forth through your light switches, garage door, PC, etc. as well--giving it uber-range.
