It just seems like XM keeps getting more stuff and Sirius has stagnated.
Every week xm is announcing something new, but it is like Sirius spent all their money on howard and so they are defenseless.
Eventually people are going to start to notice that SIRI hasn't really kept up with XM on the programming end of things.

Seriously. At this rate XM could do 15 channels of country and nothing else and still make money.

Meh. Who cares?
Anyone remember those old commercials that ran in the NYC area in the late 70's/early 80's for some local radio station (I think it was **shudder** LiteFM)... It had some guy singing a country/western song in a straight outta Hazzard accent that went something like "I WANNA MARRY MY HORSE, BUT I CAINT AFFORD A BRIDAL SUITE"...
To me, that pretty much sums up 99% of country music. Some Outlaw country is pretty cool, but once you get beyond Willie/Johnny/Waylon/etc (which they still air, btw...), it all sounds the same. Yeeee HAW!!! String 'em up Jethro!!!

Besides what happened with this today, isn't Sirius about due for some channel changes/additions? Isn't it usually September when they do the next round of changes/additions?

Channel changes? Axe more channels for more talk? A new form of Redneck Comedy? Howard's 3rd channel, FINALLY!
Im either sitting here grooving to XCountry or driving my Jeep (canceled Sirius) listening to Highway 16 with my Inno.

Outlaw Country is dog shit compared to XCountry. Make the switch and you will find out what im talking about.

Tussel, i didnt know Jeep made trailer homes.

Hey Tussel, I have to ask, when you're grooving to X Country, are you mostly at home, or do you groove in the Jeep as well? Is Highway 16 not appropriate for grooving? Or would grooving on the road be too risky? Please share more about your grooving habits.

I have to say im more into the hick rock found on XCountry. But there is nothing like driving down the road blasting Highway 16. Or i just play this for all my friends. They love it.

So country music is the thing that drives the sat. radio industry? Have you heard wsm tussel? its a hazardous channel that causes drowsiness while driving.
by the way, you have a lift kit or any mods on that jeep? Are you in an area to take it off-road?
Posted by: FaFaFluFly ? | September 13, 2006 8:27 PM
No Country doesnt drive the industry. Its the industry that shuns country. Terrestrial and now Sirius? I live in New York. No country here. Nope, never heard WSM before. I only listen to XM.

remember when reading one of tussels posts , avoid sharp objects.

Tussel. You have a jeep and do not think you have any country in your area. Please.
Havn't you heard of Paragon Adventure Park? It is only 2.5 hours or less from the City. I have seen a ton of NYC people there when I have went. Use your truck damn it. Or do you have one of the new CARS jeep built? I hear that Compass is really good off-road. Trail Rated? What a joke. Trail Tested sound good to me.
