SIRIUS gets The RadioChick starting in January

SIRIUS Satellite Radio today announced that popular talk show host Leslie Gold, known on-air as "the RadioChick," will broadcast exclusively starting in January 2005.
In New York, the RadioChick earned fierce loyalty with her audience by combining clever comedy bits, fast-paced banter, listener phone calls and celebrity interviews into an irreverent, contemporary, funny talk show. Gold gained notoriety for tossing a bra onstage at Kathie Lee Gifford during a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman, and when one of her former employers deemed a billboard for her show (depicting Gold nude from the waist up, with a man's hands covering her breasts) too controversial, and ordered it be taken down.
"Sirius is the ideal home for my show," said Gold. "No small-minded programmers insisting that we shouldn't be funny for longer than seven minutes at a time. No corporate dictate that we must stop an interview with Robert Duvall, or Steven Tyler or Sylvester Stallone to play Foghat... again. No speech police from the FCC. I was so happy to join Sirius, I almost wet myself."
Beginning Monday, January 10, The RadioChick can be heard weekdays from 10 am to 2 pm ET on SIRIUS Talk Central, channel 148.
