SIRIUS Launches Xmas Music Channels Nov 24th

Sirius Satellite Radio will celebrate the holiday season with special Thanksgiving and Christmas music programming starting on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th.
Continuous Christmas music will be broadcast on two SIRIUS channels through Christmas Day, December 25: StarLite (ch 2) will play traditional and contemporary Christmas holiday music, and The Roadhouse (ch 62) will feature holiday country music.

Channel 9 / THE PULSE (6 pm ET)
One of SIRIUS' favorite guests, Alanis Morissette, will talk to host Kim Ashley about her two latest releases, Collection and Jagged Little Pill Acoustic, play some of her favorite tunes, and tell us what she's thankful for on her first Thanksgiving as an American citizen. (Repeated on Nov. 25 at 12 pm ET and on Nov. 26 at 11 pm ET.)
Channel 22 / FIRST WAVE (2 pm ET)
A Thanksgiving Fix with The Fixx: Host Richard Blade welcomes Cy Curnin and Jamie West-Oram, two founding members of the Australian band The Fixx, to talk about their big hits from the '80s and their greatest musical influences.
Channel 28 / FACTION (1 pm ET)
Adam and Matt from the hot punk/emo band Taking Back Sunday host The Taking Back Thanksgiving Takeover, during which they'll play music they've personally selected for your holiday enjoyment.
Channel 32 / REGGAE RHYTHMS (5 pm ET)
Reggae star Tony Rebel joins SIRIUS as a "Rebel-ious" guest DJ to play some of his favorite selections on Thanksgiving Day, before he heads home to Jamaica for the holidays.
Channel 68 / PRAISE (5 pm ET)
GRAMMY® winning gospel duo Mary Mary (Erica and Tina Campbell) share their memories and family spirit with SIRIUS subscribers coast-to-coast this Thanksgiving.
Channel 75 / STANDARD TIME (6 pm ET)
Rod Stewart visits SIRIUS to talk about and play tracks from his new album, Thanks For The Memory: The Great American Songbook, Vol. 4, hosted by the album's producer, Steve Tyrell. (Repeated on Nov. 25 at 3 pm ET, Nov. 26 at 12 pm ET and Nov. 27 at 9 pm ET.)
Channel 85 / CLASSICAL VOICES (9 pm ET)
SIRIUS is pleased to broadcast NPR's World of Opera program, the only one in the US devoted to the finest opera performances from around the world. On Thanksgiving Day, enjoy the world premiere of Lysistrata by Mark Adamo, from Houston Grand Opera.

The Fixx, Australian? I'm sure they'll be surprised to find out that London was transported wholesale from the British Isles and was plopped atop Oceania's largest nation. No no no, this will not do. Cy Curnin, Jamie West-Oram, and co. are English. Though they were far more popular here in the U.S. than they ever were in the UK....
