Sirius' Outlaw Country is launching a new monthly series called "Through the Eyes of the Producer" which will be hosted by some of country's most legendary record producers.
Featured producers such as Fred Foster, Bob Johnston, Shelby Singleton and many others will take Sirius listeners behind the scenes by sharing their first-hand stories of historic sessions as well as original recordings by some of Outlaw Country's biggest names, including Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton and many others.
Here's a quick rundown of some on the roster and their credentials (many other renowned producers will follow):
- Fred Foster: produced Roy Orbison's "Oh, Pretty Woman" and Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee"
- Bob Johnston: produced Johnny Cash's record At Folsom Prison and Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited
- Shelby Singleton: produced Leroy Van Dyke's "Walk On By" and Jeanine C. Reilly's "Harper Valley P.T.A."
