NASCAR's website has recently undergone a major facelift, and Sirius appears to be the premiere website sponsor. The new NASCAR.COM is now offering such goodies like free video and free Live Leaderboards, which both used to be part of NASCAR.COM's Trackpass subscription service. The new website is sure to draw lots of eyeballs, especially as the excitement for the Daytona 500 builds (only 12 days away).

Thanks XMECUTIONER!

While the site looks good(not done by Sirius), I still think that flashy graphics downgrade a website. Nice updated look none-the-less. Good for Sirius...just took alot of money to get there.
Ya, great new website and every thing but I cant wait I get to watch car making left handed turns at 200 mph, excellent! oh wait, all the races are on TV and a lot more interesting when these guys get into wrecks and almost kill themselves all for the glory of...? Sirius over paid. Nice website though....
Car races on the radio was dumb when XM did it, and it is still dumb with Sirius broadcasting it now. "Buy our socks." "No. I don't want them." "They are the official socks of NASCAR." "I'll take ten pairs." Idiots.
Jim can we just put to rest that what ever sirius does is stupid and what xm does is brilliant? It is getting really old.
BTW, can't we all just agree that all sports suck on the radio. Hell most sports still suck when they are on TV. Live at the venue is really the best way. Oh wait live with a radio turned on might work well, well maybe not at a motor sports race but you get the idea.
The only people that really give a damn about this are the redneck truckers who are on the road during the races. And hell, most of them still have satellite in the truck, or can get a wireless broadband connection and watch it over that.
As an XM customer, I NEVER listened to any of the bullshit NASCAR stuff, and I could give a shit when it left. My dad was talking about switching over this (we are on a family account) and I asked him, "So your really on the road that much during the weekends (he's not) that you would drop a lot of money on a new unit just to get the fucking race on the way to the grocery store or the mall? You DO know that most FM stations in the South carry this shit live too, right?"
Thank you Mr. Hargosh.
"BTW, can't we all just agree that all sports suck on the radio. Hell most sports still suck when they are on TV."
Yes
"The only people that really give a damn about this are the redneck truckers"
Tell that to all the fans in Chicago, Michigan, Pa, Cali, ect. All places with cup tracks.
"And hell, most of them still have satellite in the truck, or can get a wireless broadband connection and watch it over that."
Kinda hard to watch the race driving down the road
"You DO know that most FM stations in the South carry this shit live too, right?"
So on race day "most" FM stations have the race on in your area. We only get one, here. Oh, and we don't have 5 other channels broadcasting in car audio.
Where did I write that said every thing XM does is brilliant? I'm not saying that... If one company did every thing brilliant there wouldn't be another company, and i'm the same as most people, i didn't listen to NASCAR on the radio on XM either, and it makes me sick what they did to XM 144, from SNR to their own XM crap! Trust me, if i worked for XM there would be some changes that I would make.
I have XM and I had have Sirius. The main reason that I chose one over the other is because I like baseball better than any other sport and i think that XM does a good job at covering it.

is it really this bad to have signed them?
No it isn't bad at all!!!!
Sirius is becoming the one and only company to say if you want Sports with your music and talk, come to us. You can't get it with the other guys (unless you only like MLB, which also is on TV and radio).
It isn't always about how many will come BECAUSE of NASCAR, it is how many will come BECAUSE we have it all!
Sirius is making a brilliant move by signing all these sports and entertainers. It has worked in the past and it is still working. When customers choose a satrad company, over 60% of the time they choose Sirius. Not bad for a company that was below 30% a little over two years ago.
