Sirius Satellite Radio Inc is turning up the volume in their call for shareholders to vote for the Sirius-XM merger. They've been broadcasting promotions on the air and I recently received this email blast that I'm sure most of you found in your inbox as well.
With one day left before the shareholder votes, the anticipation is building for the final verdict of this merger.
Check out the email after the jump...

[snip - the rest was legal stuff]

No Merger.
Can't believe they waited until now to announce this. It's the first commercial every single break on Howard
ie, We spent too much on Howard and need the gov't to bail us out.
NO MERGER!
The execs at XM have been brainwashed.
they probably didnt get as many as they would have liked votes in or they wanted to get approval into the 90s
Not only that - they are running spots on Sirius Hits 1!
The spots encourage stockholders to vote, vote, vote today for the merger. They also remind them that not voting is the same as voting NO.
I went with Sirius about four years ago because I didn't want or like XM, and I STILL feel that way. The past year or so Sirius "talks" more than ever before, the idea was to listen to MUSIC not announcers. They talk as long as listening to commercial radio! Do they hire unemployed announcers still trying to feed their ego's? I think if people are Beatle fans, they know all about the Beatles already. Please don't merge and tell the announcers to keep patter under 10 seconds ok?
Also, I read to vote I should go the proxypush.com/siri and follow the instructions on the proxy card....well I never received a proxy card in the mail. Sorry, I don't feel I need to call an 800 number either. This should all be online and easy to access. And I too agree with a comment I read online that "do they wait until the agreement was reached to let shareholders vote?
In short, my vote is NO MERGER...if that makes any difference. The day Sirius merges will be my last day with Sirius, there's always other alternatives and they are "free". Hope enough NO votes are given.
oh man, that only means NO MERGER
I'm trying to vote now (Tues 11/13) but the proxypush.com/siri site does not appear to be working - perhaps voters have overloaded the system?

your shares will be useless if you dont vote for the merger.A no vote will allow a the weaker company to be accuired by the more profiable company at a loss and your shares will be worthless. this merger must happen and must cost the companys money for it to benifit the shareholders...
