Sirius Satellite Radio, Nelligan Sports Marketing, the University of Louisville and College Sports Television announced an agreement making Sirius the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the University of Louisville. This didn't come without a fight, and a whole lot of drama (see here, here and here) between Clear Channel and Sirius. See, for years Clear Channel's AM station WHAS and U of L have been in bed with each other, but Sirius put a kabosh on all that.

Sirius will broadcast select play-by-play sports of Louisville's nationally-ranked college basketball and football teams. Louisville joins a growing stable of Division I schools currently broadcast on Sirius College Sports Radio.

The Cardinals' first broadcast on Sirius will be Tuesday, January 11th when the Cards travel to Hattiesburg to take on Southern Mississippi at 7pm ET on channel 181.
