Sirius Stiletto SL10?Satellite Radio Superstore has listed a new upcoming Sirius receiver, the SL10 Sirius Stiletto.

The SL10 is expected to be a "stripped down version" of the Sirius Stiletto SL100-TK1 according to the listing, but there's no other information available as of yet.

AGAIN, you show a picture to what has already been confirmed to be part of the conference room's wireless speaker system....

That is not the port unit

PNess, It is probably used so we (Sirius Fans) can get a kick out of what XM fans say about it.... again.

:)

My prediction is that it will be the zing player and XM fans will say that it is stupid, until XM adds it to their next portable. :)

If Ryan had a picture of the unit, one would think he would post it. He knows this is not the unit. He just put that up because that is the pic most referenced by everyone.

you sir are a dolt.

No No No NWXMDUDE. A better picture would be from the news conference when Mel pulled it out of his coat pocket for a split second.

So...they are going to have a "stripped-down" version of a unit that isn't released? Okay...Sounds like an excuse to delay the live portable, again.

I updated the pic so we can move the discussion forward now. :)

I wonder whether the "SL10" is the name for the Zing-powered unit? 10 hours of recording/playback plus WiFi support = affordable low-end "Stiletto" device.

Gives a clear upgrade path to the S100-TK1 Stiletto. And can justify what MAY BE a high-prices S100 unit.

Just a thought.

Why do you fanboys need to chime in with the Sirius vs XM shit all the time?

If there was no XM or no Sirius you fuckwads would be paying 24.95 to listen to heavily compressed digital FM radio with commercials every five minutes and also pay a premium for O&A/Stern.

Think about it and then get back to an intelligent discussion.

DUDE,

WHY THE FUCK WOULD SIRIUS PUT OUT AN UGLY UNIT THAT HAS A GIANT "QUESTION MARK" ON THE FRONT, AS OPPOSED TO A DISPLAY AND A CONTROL PANNEL.

The way thing are going right now for both companies as far as stock availablity, it will be a while before we see this puppy.

All new stock of XM & Sirius radios are being held until the stupid FM modulators are modified.

Plus what suit will the NAB bring about becuase of this new Sirius unit?

From SRS:
The Sirius Stiletto SL100-TK1 receiver with WiFi technology for Sirius Satellite Radio is one of the most advanced Sirius Receivers to date, and is expected to be released relatively soon. This item is will have a live option for Sirius programming and is expected to be black in color. Also included are 2 batteries and 2 headphones. The SL100-TK1 will be manufactured by Wistron NeWeb. As soon as we find out more information on the Sirius Stiletto release date and product features we will update this page immediately. Those who join our free newsletter mailing list will receive updated information concerning the Sirius Stiletto release date and inventory, along with a discount coupon code. Thank you for your patience.

"expected to be released relatively soon", "a live option", "expected to be black in color"; Wow, will a release date of some time and a live "option". They don't even know what the color of the friggn' thing is? Oh, yea as I said before this will be packaged with Gun & Roses' "Chinese Democracy" and Duke Nukem' Forever.

Perhaps the two versions are similar to the Inno/Helix and Nexus. One gets live sat, the other is a newer version of the S50. The idea of having to add something to the unit to make it a live portable is somewhat of a disappointment. If the WiFi takes the room in the unit where the live stuff would go, I think it's a bad trade-off. One day, WiFi portables streaming content will be popular -- however, the WiFi infrastructure is in its infancy. To stream in my house to a portable is "neat", but not practical or even interesting.

when it comes out it will do well unlike XM sirius radios fly off shelves fast.

Sternfan73 has done a remarkable job impersonating Howard Stern.

"you would think it was the real people"

Any device that comes out will sell out because no matter how bad the thing will be(PS3), it will still sell out for awhile because of a following. After then you will see it on the shelves because it is past its "obsession" phase.
If this stiletto(shouldnt there be a simpler name like inno, helix, nexus, myfi....you know 5 letters max) is going to be plagued like the S50 is with limits on production then YES it will stay sold out....not because it is selling but because they can't get them in.

"All new stock of XM & Sirius radios are being held until the stupid FM modulators are modified."

XMDUDE, you are forgetting that these are new radios. Like the new Sportster4, they are being produced to be 100% FCC compliant. that being said, the Sportster4 and any new radios that are produced going forward will have no shipping issues.

thanks ryan :)

The sad fact is that XM's live portable units are years ahead of anything Sirius can put out, but they do a poor job in letting people know about it.

IM GETTING TIRED OF THE SAME THREE ONA FANS REPEATING THE SAME BULLSHIT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. YOU ARE GAY.
