Sirius SL100-TK1The sleuths over at Sirius Backstage have discovered the Sirius SL100-TK1 radio listed in one of Crutchfield's company databases, along with new car/home kits, and antenna headphones.

The naming convention of "SL100" indicates that the Sirius Stiletto moniker will likely be the name of the device, and that it will have 100 hours worth of storage (or 2Gb disk space).

I spent some time trolling through Crutchfield's site swapping out image names wiith "SK100TK1" but to no avail (so don't bother).

UPDATE: The photo above is most definitely not a photo of the new Sirius Wearable unit. It was originally found on SIRIUS' homepage, and thought to be a leaked image... but lo-and-behold it's just a stock photo.

I can tell your are a true J&R pest. Crutchfield is crap and J&R rocks. Spread the virus.

Oh. Not THAT trolling. Sorry.

On a serious note, I'm not switching from my S50 until I listen to satellite reception at the bottom level of Area 51, or at least without pointing out a window.

"Oh. Not THAT trolling. Sorry."

No kidding. Where are those two useless little trolls Sticker Boy Ramone and Tussel? I smell retard romance in the air between those two.

On a less annoying note, I suspect this thing will come out in the $300 range, which will be way too much for a live portable that might or might not get me good reception. Still, it's potentially a step in the right direction for Siri.

And what bit rates are we talking about if you're squeezing 100hrs of listening time out of 2 gigs?

Guess all will be revealed when Stilletto comes out...

"And what bit rates are we talking about if you're squeezing 100hrs of listening time out of 2 gigs? "

its 100 hours of recorded sirius content.

Just like XM's recording, the music is stored in its undecoded state -- that allows for more room -- it is decoded as it is played. The MP3s, however, are full-size files, which take up more room.

I'm not sure that 1GB versus 2GB will have much of an impact on whether the average person chooses the XM portable or the Sirius portable. It will come down to which service he/she wants.

Sticker Boy isn't that talented.

Is this thing going to be able to stream video?

what type of receptivity have others had with the XM portable units?

Unless folks are going to be outdoors with an antenna mounted to them, i'm still concerned about reception on this or other units. Please share your experiences!

Lets not get into a tussel about tussel. any break from those weenies is one less extra stength tylenol i have to take.

i have the s50 too and i won't buy a portable until they figure out how to not fuck us on 300 bucks. i spent enough on that damn s50 and i will use it until orange and red lines streak across the screen because the lcd broke.

You rang?

REGO!

tussel - The Rego wasn't made by Sirius. It was made by Chunglam Digital for XactCommunication.

Different breed of cat. This unit is made by Wistron Neweb for Directed/Sirius.
