Though I wouldn't call it a "delay" since it hasn't been officially announced by Sirius, but according to Sirius' CFO David Frear at this week's Merril Lynch conference, the Sirius Stiletto is currently awaiting an FCC ID#.
Satellite Radio TechWorld late last week pointed out that Part 15, Subpart A, prohibits the marketing of devices that are not in the good graces of the FCC, so probably explains why retailers were asked to take down their pre-order pages.
Arrival time? According to sources.... soon. How frustrating.

It's this kind of shit that should make XM and Sirius join together against the FCC, RIAA, and any other three-letter shitstorm that comes along.
I think it has more to do with the NAB (Testical Radio) buying a few FCC commissioners. They will continue to harrass Sat Rad until XM/Sirius buy a few Senators, Congressmen or FCC commisioners. Since all politicians are always for sale, I'm sure that's in the works.
sat Tech worls has an update related to 3 new certs for sirius. one is for the Stiletto home dock. Why for a home dock? is there an FM transmiter in the home dock? is there not one in the stilletto?
Is that a new Stiletto photo? I haven't seen it before.
Even though I dispise SIRIUS... Enough already FCC. Leave XM/ SIRIUS to battle it out. The stiletto and XM portables had no violation...so the FCC "investigates", and while "investigating"..they make a "rule" against something in particular about the said unit. It's BS.
Jeff - Yes, there's apparently a FM Modulator in the Home Dock. This was a feature that many wanted in the S50 but unfortunately wasn't there. Apparently Sirius listened.
