I was an O&A listener but the show has changed too much over the last couple of years. With going back to FM, the TMZ parody thing they do is just dumb it should've been a one time gag. The Antholini thing was cringe worthy though the end of it was very funny. This isn't the same O&A from WNEW who didn't care whatsoever who they offended. Norton and Patrice are always funny though.

O&A doesn't have the number of listeners as Bubba it is a fact, the numbers are on Arbitron's web site where they put of the number of listeners of every channel on Sirius and XM before the merger, Bubba was 2nd to Howard in the ratings. A number of music channels had more listners than O&A

Couple of things,

1) A lot of Howards compensation was to be in the form of Sirius stock - we all know where that is these days. I could almost bet you that he will NOT have made 500 million when his deal is up. You can tell by his lack of interest in the show anymore. Poor compensation = Poor performance
Plus he pays for the production costs of part of his show from his own compensation.

2) "Howards Channels" he only has 2 100 and 101.
Those are the two he programs - If you think Howard owns and runs Sirius you are mistaken. He has no real say over where or what sirius decides to do with O&A or the hiring of anyone not related to his channels.

Bubba never really interested me with his hillbilly humor, but he had some of the best political commentary during the election. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but he does provide some great humor... on occassion. I'm glad he's staying.

I have to be positive for Bubba. When you first came to sirius I was kinda skeptical about him riding on Howards coat tails. Since then he has definitely proven himself, now I am a regular listener. I hope they sign him for another 5 years after Howard leaves. WAY TO GO BUBBA !!!!!!!

I've tried listening to O&A several times when they came on in Las Vegas.

The show isn't funny or entertaining. Honestly, O&A mentioned Howard's name about 50 times over the 20 hours I listened (Howard never mentions O&A, he doesn't care). Maybe hardcore fans who have listened for years get them, but to me, they were horrible. Jim Norton was the only entertaining aspect.

I used to love Howard's show, but it is slowly draining on me.

Howard complains too much about having to wake up early, and Robin is beyond annoying. The fact that Robin makes more money than Fred is a travesty.

I used to like Artie too, but I'm tired of his complaining and excuses for missing work. Just be thankful that Sirius pays you $1 million a year and you can get $80k-$150k a night for standup. I've seen his standup 3 times here in Vegas, and he wasn't even the funniest guy on the bill (his opener Joe Matarese was much funnier).

Every Howard female interview is a carbon copy of one another ("Are you into anal?" "Have you ever been with a girl?").

Many of the regular callers are painfully boring.

The only bright spots on the show are Fred's sound effects and Richard & Sal bits. And of course Beetlejuice and Eric the midget.

But I still listen every day (and subscribe to Howard TV).

Bubba is an acquired taste. I love the Ned bits, and his commentary. I also enjoy the MMA and pro-wrestling talk (and inside shoot stories). I enjoy the automotive talk as well (I've worked on 1000's of cars in my day).

Manson is good, but is the most whipped guy on the planet (actually pathetic how whipped he is).

Spice is okay, but really shallow and damaged (fucking that many girls only leaves you empty inside...been there).

Brent provides decent insight, but is only 60% to 75% correct at any time (including sports and politics).

Listening to the show reminds me of hanging out with friends and shooting the sh*t.

I listen to Bubba everyday in cubicle city. Glad he's still around for 2 more years.

Not everyone likes the same music, movies, clothes, cars, or sports. But you can't argue that Howard is the #1 most listened to show in satellite radio and Bubba is #2.
