No thanks! I will just jam to Slacker thanks!
Why is Slacker only available at Best Buy ? Makes me wonder about the product , and how long it will last .
Great, a bunch on Indie artist that I have never heard of, cause im not hip enough.
Hey Mel, how about a Slayer channel.
This channel is amazing--
ya internet radio will never make it....no comparison... no REAL content
You can also buy it online or just listen online.Once you create your own channels you will love it trust me! And i used to love sirius, not anymore though.

Slacker is also available from Amazon.com. I ordered mine direct from slacker.com because they preloaded all my stations. For music listening, Slacker is much better than any other service.
Without Billy Zero this channel is complete shit....
Why do the slacker fans come here and bash everything sat? Slacker is a fine product, glad you like it! Please understand that some of us like to listen to live content.
XMU is basically the only decent music channel left on satellite, except for occasionally the Dead channel and the Jazz channel (and of course there's really only one of those). If I'm in the mood for some 60s music, now I get the old XM 60s channel, with a bunch of annoying sound bites and even Wolfman Jack. Didn't he die? And what is up with this Deep Tracks crap? Blue Cheer? Savoy Brown? Ten Years After? My God. There's a new station in L.A. called The Sound. It's better than most of the music channels on satellite, and it's free.
Awesome, national, nationwide opportunity for up-and-coming artist, to debout! God, what a platform, and something that SDAR should be proud of...something more eclectic, roots-oriented, and powerful in its potential for grass-roots growth!
Something so non-ClearChannel-ish, Infinity-ish and even Sirius-ish! Great move!
That's wonderful... Sirius XM Radio offers are best!!

For those people that enjoy driving... better yet for those people that hate driving but need to in order to get to work. How do u listen to slacker in your car.
Portable g2 direct connect to your car stereo, thats it.
Sirius has an awsome name and the stock price is siriusly at 8 to 10 cents a share right now with over a billion bucks in debt due, so i guess it is about the name then huh?
Does Slacker have contracts with the Music Industry to pay royalties or are they like Pandora and soon to be going away because they aren't?? I wouldn't want to pay all that money for equipment and then have them not be in business.
These folks that love Slacker...... I have to wonder if they also love those 30 second Walmart commercials that are running on Slacker too? All I had to do was listen one time and new that Slacker wasn't for me.
No thanks........I'll stick with my Sirius/XM. There is no comparison.
@anon: Yes, Slacker has individual deals with all the Major Labels as well as with top Indie Labels. This is what makes their business model different than Pandora, et al. - they aren't flipping the finger to the RIAA, they're working with the labels.

Can you skip a song with sirius? The comercials are about one an hour(free version, the plus sub is $3.99 unlimited skips and requests). Can you create your own channels on sirius and turn the dj's on or off? i don't think so. Also slacker does not take my favorite channels away from me(Sirius does do that)
They aren't going anywhere. Can you say the same about sirius?
Orbitcast has shifted from a Howard Stern penis fight to a Slacker penis fight. Guess who won in the end..NOBODY. C'mon a little moderation. I thought that registering was going to curb the assholes who post comments.... Now it's all Anonymous posters again. *INCLUDING THIS ONE!!!!*
Despite my disappointment with some of the turns XM has taken since the merger, I'm still a guy who likes radio. Slacker isn't radio -- plus, while I'm sure Slacker's got a lot of things going for it, it's new. Give it a few years and you'll have gripes about it, too.
