Slacker Portable Review

The boys over at Wired got their hands on a brand new Slacker Portable, and they absolutely love it. Specifically, Wired says it "totally rawks."

Among their list of reasons for giving such a glowing review is the solid construction, clean sound (since it uses the AAC Pro v2 codec) and the fact that it's a cure for "music collection boredom."

Things they didn't like? The wacky touchstrip (and subsequent lack of touchscreen - probably my biggest gripe from the limited amount of time I spent with it), and the fact that the cached stations don't leave much room for your own music collection.

Wired leans much more towards the positive end of the spectrum than the likes of Walt Mossberg - but the simple fact that Walt didn't say he hated the device is glowing in itself.

well they are "shipping"....but major delays in shipping...

pre ordered on the first day and they are still talking about 10+ day wait.

This article has been up for over 24 hours and one posting. Shows the massive interest in this product.

and the challenge for you to produce a link regarding 0.0's "#1" ratings in NY has been up for weeks and still nothing

your point is what?

gotta remember that sirius started out very slow too.....till word of mouth and stern hit....bam

tho the customer service they are giving and lack of communication already really is not going to give them a good word of mouth

Sirius started out slow until Howard, not word of mouth.

And to 0.0, troll troll troll...go away douche. Where is your link that they are not #1? And please don't show me station ratings for the entire day for 12 year olds. I gave you a link, you ignored it like I knew you would.

ok fine, lets open this again..i believe it was Pness posted a link where they werent even close to #1

but you kept your panties and pom poms up and kept saying you had a link

now,again you abortion...

BATTER UP!!!!!!!!!!

sigh

did not want to bring this fight here....cause i know it will do no good...never does with PFreak.

give up and stick to slacker talk

Fact is, as I stated to you a while back, O&A could be last in the ratings and that wouldn't affect my enjoyment of the show. 0.0 or PNess or Pest Control or whoever you want to be today, you are a troll. I spend very little time on this board anymore as every fucking article has 50% of the comments signed "0.0' with some stupid anti-O&A rant. Listen to your old man and enjoy him while he's still on the air. PNess states he doesn't want to "bring this fight here". Why the fuck do you fight over a radio show? Because Howie tells you they're no good? My post had to do with Slacker and the fact that no one cared about Sirius until Howard came there. There was no "word of mouth" as they had no content beyond a shallow commercial free music line-up. That's actually a compliment to your hero. There are barely any comments here among people that should be interested in the Slacker product. Half the comments are, as usual, from 0.0 talking about how much he hates O&A. So enjoy your trolling, I'll be enjoying the #1 show, O&A.

Pssssssssst pfreak

you fail

per usual again

"Why the fuck do you fight over a radio show? Because Howie tells you they're no good?"

he does not talk about them...since 0.0 i think its been 1 mention and it was more about Xrock then O&A.

your O&A obsession with stern drives this feud....face facts

must be a secret oath of 0.0 fans

"never reveal a link,we just know"
