Oh man, I was so happy when they finally got rid of that screeching harpy. I could finally enjoy the channel again. But now... XM radio management = a bunch of clueless idiots.

Randi Rhodes fans need to realize: She lies..A LOT. Start with that "Number 1 Progressive Talk show Host" thing. Never true. Not even close. She knows it. Contrary to her bragging, she's a ratings underperformer in most markets. And many affiliates of Air America preempted her.

Also, she's rude even to people who agree with her. It was that screeching awfulness that drove me away.

Maybe if she went to rehab for a few months and got cleaned-up she could act like a civilized human being. But until then she shouldn't be on the air. And I think on that note, Nova M is going to be really sorry when the unexplained absences start piling up again. (Probably a good part of what killed her ratings on Air America). Nobody - not even her handful of loyal sycophants - wants to tune in and hear a repeat of a show from two days ago.

She tells fans to check out what she says and not just believe her... knowing they won't because they're sycophants. I dare her fans to start fact-checking her. You'll find htat much of what she says she's pulling out of her ass.

now: Talking Radio is the very fan boy site to which I referred. It is not base don any numbers. Read that blogspot site and see for yourself. Fanboy came up with a very silly thing called "reach" and declared that by "reach" more people COULD listen to Rhodes, even if they didn't.

To reach that conclusion, Fanboy had to first eliminate satellite radio (because Ed Schultz is on both satellites) AND discount any station that doesn't carry all liberal talk. THEN he STILL could only try to make this case by saying that Rhodes was on in the two biggest markets and Shultz wasn't, thus (according to the blogger) canceling out Shultz's lead in stations: (at that time, 25 more stations that Rhodes - now, much more). This ignored the fact that Randi did TERRIBLE in NYC, basically having no listeners there, and not much better in LA.

And of course since then, Schultz has been put on in NYC, thus making the blogger's argument even more transparently ridiculous than it already was.

So no, she was never the "number one progressive talker" - not by any objective standard you'd care to come up with (not by audience size, not by numbers of affiliates). Not even close. All the fan sites in the world can't make that lie into the truth.

I am so glad Randy is back. I missed her informative show every day. I live in Las Vegas, I contacted a few radio talk shows here, got one response back. Anyway, glad you are back, I was going to cancel my XM radio as Randy is the reason I wanted it, and Air America, but it wasn't the same without her, nowhere near.

Idiot hrc/supporters only believe in the nuclear option on the hometeam. Maybe I'm wrong, they believe in the nuclear option on their enemies, e.g. the democratic party. Fortunately xm knows what side their proverbial bread is buttered.
