Sportster 5 now shipping! (well, not really)

On the heals of the XpressRC hitting the streets, word comes in that the Sirius Sportster 5 is now shipping to retailers. The age of color radios is (finally) upon us.
So check your favorite local online reseller for availability...
UPDATE: It appears that there was some faulty info coming from the distributor and that the Sportster 5 is not shipping now. I apologize for the confusion...

Does anyone know when the new Sirius Stiletto will be released? It must be soon if this radio is being released.
Please let me know via the comments section.
Thanks

Nice looking unit. I wish they'd just put a good color screen on and charge a little more. This has to be designed for people who are already hooked, they'll be willing to pay more. I would gladly pay for it.

What would b the purpose of the better color screen? I think the screen is fine for what it's used for (reading text) and I appreciate XM and Sirius not adding unnecessary features which jack up the cost

Going by your logic, stupid, this radio should not even exist. Why try to make anything better? Just make one cheap radio for everyone, to hell with anythin better or new. That would sure keep costs down by eliminating and R&D department. Call Sirius, I'll call XM and they should get right on it! No merger needed, calgoldenbear has the answer!

Why on earth did they go to the trouble of making a high-resolution color display, then simulating a cheap dot-matrix LCD screen with that ugly text? It's not like it would be any harder to use a more attractive font!

I dunno. I work at a retailer and we have the Sportster 5 back here locked up for future release. So it's obviously shipping. It makes me happy.
