Stern Registers: "King of All Media"
We all know who the King of All Media is, but Howard Stern wants to make it official. So what better way than to trademark the term?
Last September, Howard applied for the trademark, and yesterday it was approved for publication. In about two months, the trademark for "King of All Media" will be published for opposition.
It ain't over yet, there's a long arduous road ahead in becoming the true and official "King of All Media." Thank goodness too, because we'd likely see "King of All Blacks." "the Limo Driver" and "the Stockbroker" all up for trademark as well.

He should also copyright the word "Everything," considering that's what he invented.

I'm surprised he didn't do this years ago. Pat Riley owns "Threepeat", after all...

Can Howard really be considered the king of all media at this point? His E! show hasn't been on for over a year now, he only wrote one book, which was turned into a shitty movie but that was about 10 years ago now. he has little to do with TV except the HOD shit. The Book and Movie thing was so long ago now it is irrelevant. not enough of his terrestrial audience signed up for sirius. his radio show is only on 4 days a week. he can call himself the king of the little doggie company but that is it
Posted by: Mazz3D ? | February 7, 2007 9:37 PM
To be the king of all media wouldn't he have to currently be involved with all types of media? He only does radio and tv. Self proclaimed king of all media is what he is.

I hate Stern just like the next guy but the movie was pretty good. Who the fuck wasnt a fan of Stern before he turned into the person his show used to make fun of?

2 top selling books
1 hit movie
#1 rated show on E
highest grossing pay-per-view special ever
Highest paid radio personality ever
6.1 listeners moved to Sirius so far
He has attracted more listeners to satelite radio then any other radio personality (O & A, Oprah)
Now Sirius has the Frank Sinatra channel....the family decided to pull their channel from XM. The momentum is fully in Sirius' favor.

"boy these pest coments are

Yeah...sucks when the same ol monotonous truth keeps getting repeated over and over again. Especially when Howard fans start to say the same thing. Thats what happens when the show (when its even on and not on vacation or fridays) doesn't entertain or hold your attention anymore.

The Lewis-Tyson fight is the highest grossest pay per view event ever, maybe Stern's was in 1993 but not anymore.

1 top selling book, the second didn't do so well.
1 movie that actually didn't do very well. It had a medium box-office, no flop but no blockbuster either. And lets face it, the movie was a fucking romantic comedy and came out over 10 years ago.
The #1 rated show on a cable channel that gets awful ratings. Flavor Flav's show on VH1 gets better ratings. Oh, and the show's not on anymore.
Has attracted a fraction of his previous audience to Sirius, well below expectations.
His HOD service is the lowest rated pay per view service ever.
King of Nostalga maybe.

Howard's show has never been funnier. Yesterday's contest of Slow Adults vs. Porn Stars was funnier than ANYTHING I've seen in a movie or on TV in month's. I was still laughing the 3rd time I replayed it. It's laughable to hear these comments that Howard couldn't adapt from the pests. From what I've read, that's all their bbboys complain about now is not being able to do a decent show because of the restrictions, the same restrictions that Howard worked under and was still pulling record ratings. Not only could they not compete against him, they are barely competitive WITHOUT him there. Even Imus has higher ratings...
Howard has made great achievements in many areas of the entertainment media. For those saying his E show is over need to check the ratings he gets when going on Letterman...

Spoken like a true zombie.
LOL "well below expectations" guess that is why he got TWO stock bonuses because they were "below expectation"... AND you have proof
HOD Lowest ever? AND you have proof
damn kid you get funnier every day.

How long are we going to have these "Howard vs. O&A" pissy fight threads?
Posted by: realwx ? | February 8, 2007 10:22 PM
honestly, i used to listen to O&A before I got Sirius. Anyone that thinks they are better than Stern needs to reevaluate the situation. Their show is SO boring, and all they do is complain. I heard them yelling at Earl two days ago, and it was just sad. Their version of porn stars in studio is stalker patty. gross. Stern may talk a lot about things he may or may not have done, but at least you can take him for what he's worth and listen to the show. Calm down pests.

Ask the "pests" that post every single thing from here about Howard onto Wackbag, or any kind of poll that Ryan puts up.

How exactly is he the king of all media these days?
He might have had an argument ten years ago, but I never even hear about the fuck anymore. He's definitively not the king of TV, internet, regular radio, newspapers, etc...
So he should not be aloud to carry this title anymore. Its a disgrace and a little sad.
Posted by: jack london | February 11, 2007 11:42 AM
You don't just "fall" from the top. Someone usually replaces The King, but nobody comes to mind that has been more successful in more areas of media.
So, honestly, whose the new king?
Posted by: TheScion Icman | February 12, 2007 3:24 PM
So this is how Hoo Hoo resorts to keeping his name in the newspaper? Is this Phase III of the revolution?
Posted by: Frank the Frowner | February 12, 2007 4:04 PM
xm didnt renew the contract for sinatra's name, it wasn't because they liked sirius better, nice try.
