Originally set to air from September through March, E Street Radio (ch 10) will continue to feature non-stop Bruce Springsteen with rare concert recordings as well as interviews with The Boss, members of the E Street Band and other Springsteen insiders.
To celebrate the channel's extended run, Bruce Springsteen himself sat down
for an interview with rock historian and critic
Dave Marsh. The interview will air on Thursday, March 6th at 4pm ET with
encores on Friday, March 7th at 8am and 4pm ET, and on Saturday, March 8th
at 8am and 6pm ET.
During the interview Springsteen discusses the next leg of the Magic tour and album, plus Bruce gets political and talks about his thoughts on the presidential primaries.

What ? You're not going to start the week off with a merger story ? Just kidding . Keep up the great work on the site .
Did you forget that Saturday was March 1st and not April 1st? Surely, this must be an early April fools joke.
Still not subscribing.
Enough Springsteen! Bring back The Bridge!
I hate Sirius, there's your radio nowhere :)
m
SW, The Bridge is still available...but it's online only and listed as SIR-2, between channels 13 and 14. So you can listen if you have a Stiletto or your at your computer when your streaming...but then of course you can't get all the channels, haha. Sorry if you knew this. Jjust figured I'd help you out if you didn't.
I got a great idea.... bring The Bridge back, and put E Street Radio on SIR.
Christ. Come to an end already!
When Bruce extended his tour, I think the writing was on the wall that this channel would be extended as well.
Of course, the fact that the Bridge keeps getting replaced with single-artist channels should be seen as writing on the wall for fans of that channel.
springsteen stinks ........I just don't get it
For crying out loud.....Bring Back the Bridge....enough already!!!!

I've been very upset about this for awhile now and didn't know where to vent. Now that I know where,I'm going to.Why can't you put Mr. Springsteen on the love channel or e.z. Those two channels are so much alike, the fans of those two would not be missing much. It's not fair to replace a station for almost a year. But you're not going to listen anyway are you. You get too much contractual money to support the concert in the deal. It's a raw deal for the listeners of the Bridge. And as for being a coward it takes one to know one(Your not actually showing the contract you have with the Mr. Springsteen). Also I suggest Bridge fans take the Bridge off your car list until Mr. Springsteen is off,so the station can track how popular the Bridge is .(of course they may not care, they're going to keep us anyway because most of us like the overall product and will keep the station anyway) and still get extra dollars for promoting his concert).Of course what we could do is discontinue the station until this unfairness stops.

I agree with some of the other comments. I was an avid listener of The Bridge and am thinking of not renewing with Sirius because of it. Why would you not take away something like Starlight on the Love channel which is very much like Moving EZ.
Thank you for the opportunity to give input,
Diane

Shut Up Crybabies,
I'm sorry about pre-empting "the Bridge" but E-street radio is the greatest music event short of going to a Springsteen concert. I've already been to 2 concerts in 2007 and plan on going to 2 more in april 2008. Each Bruce concert I've been to, is an almost religous experience. They say music can change lives, and Bruce and his music has.
Once again I'm sorry about the Bridge but E-Street Radio is a Once (Twice)-in-a-lifetime event. Resident... of E-Street...
Well March has come and gone, and still no Bridge. Enough already of Bruce. Sirius could care less what its customers think and its customer service department is for the birds.
Bring back the Bridge. Bruce, you've had your run now go away. At least they made good on their promise to hijack Super Shuffle for the Rolling Stones for only a brief amount of time. Had they extended them I definitely wouldn't be renewing when my contract comes due in May.
Actually there are alot of Baby Boomer BRIDGE listeners who feel betryed by Sirius. We need to start a blog dedicated to boycotting all of Howard Stern's advertisers. Howard will walk down the hall and slap the moron program director who decided to punish Sirius's biggest listening demographic
We want the Bridge! We want the Bridge! We want the Bridge! We want the Bridge!
BRING BACK THE BRIDGE
Enough of Bruce Springstein already. I am seriously considering not renewing my subscription without the Bridge. Sure , listening at home on my computer is great, but I want it in my car.
I think it is a waiste to have two channells that play the same type of music. I totally agree with Springsteen fans. I pay for Sirius every month. I enjoy E Street Radio. It gets me through my work day. Been fan of Springsteen since day 1. Why don't Sirius think about there customers for once. Get rid of one of your corny easy listening stations. It's senseless to have two stations that play annoying top 40 easy listening music that alot of listeners get tired of hearing. That was one ot he reasons i got away from local radio stations. They play nothing but top 40 garbage day after day. E Street radio is one of my top five radio stations. Why can't you move it to one othe boring top 40 stations that you have. I guess it's all about the money just like the local radio stations. Play what's selling. Give the customers what they want. Been asking for a station that plays plys Doo Wop and some rare rock and roll b sides. I guess that's not gonna happen either. You really need to consider getting rid of one of those annoying channells 2 or 3. They are very annoying. The fans of Springsteen would like to continue listening to E Street radio. There are alot of dedicated fans out there that feel the same way i do. Think about the customers for once. Channels 2 and 3 are annoying.Get rid of them. You have Movin EZ. Enough is enough.
Nobody gives a rat's ass about Bruce Springsteen unless you live in Jersey, period. Bruce sucks, and i hear being at his concert is like a major gay experience.

I hate to tell you, but those of you who think that nobody cares about or is listening to E Street Radio, you my friends, are in the MINORITY. Sirius has more listeners to Channel 10 now that it's E Street Radio than when it was The Bridge. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed The Bridge. But if you don't know much about Bruce Springsteen fans, you have NO IDEA what a following he has. I was completely ignorant until my husband finally got me to go to a show and I was converted right then and there. As someone previously posted, it is like a religious experience and until you truly read his poetic lyrics and feel the beats in your bones, you just will never understand. Give it up....E Street Radio is here to stay!
Hey Jackie you really need to get a life. It's obvious that you know know nothing about good music. I think it's great that E Street radio is still on Sirius. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Bruce is just as popular as the Grateful Dead, Elvis Presley and Jimmy Buffet. With all due respect there should be a station didicated to to someone who has given us many great years of music and live shows. Amy worded it right. The Bridge is more popular now than it ever was. Give us what we pay for. For those of you who don't know nothing about Bruce Springsteen you really need to get a life. Bruce Springsteen sells out just as many shows as the Rolling Stones and Jimmy Buffet who i also have all the respect in the world for also. That's what music is all about. The feeling that the artists give everytime you see them live or hear them on the radio. I also think it's a waste to have two stations playing the boring old top 40 soft rock crap. That's why i stopped listening to the regular radio stations. E Street Radio is one of he best stations on Sirius right now. If your a fan like myself you don't get tired of hearing the same artist. It would be real nice if Sirius would consider this being a permanent station. For all the other plisteners that want to hear the same old top 40 crap tht the Bridge played before the Boss. GET A LIFE
E STREET RADIO RULES
I am thoroughly disappointed with E Street's hi-jacking of the Bridge. The original Bridge was their best music station. I'm going to give XM a shot.
It's the end of may and the bridge has not returned .Getting the bridge online is not the same as getting it in the car .I just want to know if the bridge is going to return.I think that is enough to ask .I bought your product with certain channels .If those channels are not coming back I think I should be told .if I bought a cable package with espn ,they couldn't just take it off.Just have the politness to let us know.

I was wondering does xm radio have a channel like the bridge if I switch companies
For those that haven't heard, it was announced in June that E-Street Radio is extended through mid-2009 DUE TO FAN DEMAND. See the announcement at
http://www.mediabuyerplanner.com/2008/06/18/e-street-radio-remains-boss-of-sirius-channel-10-through-2009/
So SIRIUS is listening to and taking care of their customers. Get over it Bridge Fans. I enjoyed The Bridge from time to time, but E-St is played much more often in my car than Bridge ever was.
I love Bruce Springsteen and E Street Radio! Believe it or not I do NOT live in New Jersey. I am from California. I think you take this to seriously, it is just a radio station...sheesh.
