The History of Howard Stern Act II starts Monday

I mean, who really gives a shit about this guy.. in the scope of life he's like a pile of shit on the side of the road.. here for now, but forgotten once gone..

Do think people will talk about him in reverence, like they would about a long-since-gone great broadcaster like Edward R Murrow or about a Walter Cronkite?

He can be mildly entertaining at the best of times, like the original American Pie movie, but more often than not he (and his cohorts) are like an American Pie sequel, they just plan suck.

The first part was GREAT! Being a new fan (since 2006) I can't wait to hear this second part...

I like to listen to Stern....but he is not an original. Frankly his early stuff is embarrassing.

I'm sure it will be a great production like the first one was. Highlights the greatest morning show of all time.

When can we expect a show like this from Oral & Anal? I'm sure they're hard at work and there's tons of great stories and highlights of their meteoric rise in radio.

With overwhelming wealth of career highlights and stories the I'm sure the History of Oral & Anal can run during a commercial break. A short one at that to encompass their entire hack careers.

How about a history of Ron & Fez - Here's the overview. They suck and while they were part of Ron & Ron they got their asses handed to them by Stern. Virtually unknown overnight. What that take 5 seconds?

siriusxm letting HS present old, stale, radio bits just shows how f**ked up things are with siriusxm.

Compare HS from the golden days to now and it's easy to see how irrellivant he and his show has become and how his price tag (and all the other "talent") on siriusxm are a major burden to, and the reasson why siriusxm will fail within the year.

Somewhere right now some radio station is playing the Beatles,The Rolling Stones,Pink Floyd,etc. After what, 44 years since The Beatles came to the US?

When SiriusXM fails(partially because the "suits" paid WAY too much for buttwipes like Stern,O & A, and "Bubba")noone will recall anything about these slugs within 1 month. Let alone quote anything Stern said 1 week after SiriusXM goes to the shitter. Greenstein has the balls to call "Bubba" an asset to SiriusXM?? What drugs is this man on???

Somehow I don't think Stern(and the rest)are in quite the same league as The Beatles,Shakespeare, or Michael Jordan.

As you attempt to listen to this overpromoted pretaped drivel of a replay, just dream for a moment... of Howard & Beth lying in the sun, sipping a cool drink in some remote location for 2 weeks collecting a cool 100 million. (shareholders $$) Sirius doesn't need Stern to survive, and would get along just fine without him.

The man revoutionized how radio is done. It is fair to compare him to other greats and he will be remembered in radio and other circles long after he is gone from the medium. I just don't understand how two weeks of Part 2 only brings us from 1985-1990...this series could go on for a long time..

I got addicted to Stern just recently in the last 2 years. He's clearly talented and gets you hooked quickly. The only thing that bugs me is that Stern doesn't say were he got the idea to do a 'real life' show. The person who he listened to and based his 'style' on is Steve Dahl. Steve Dahl was doing the same bits as calling his wife and mother on air, making his staff part of the show, talking real .... back in 1979 way before Howard Stern. Remember "Disco Demolition Night" at Comiskey Park?
Yeah Howard took it and went further but he has never admitted to or given any credit to Steve Dahl.

blah blah blah. whether you realize it or not, howard stern has singlehandedly stood up and fought for all of our rights, the right to free speech. the most important aspect of our society, he and larry flynt alike. standing up to puritanism. howard has changed the face of our world and the way we all think,influencing all who listen, hollywood, government, writers, leaders of fortune 500 companies they all listen. all right he can be cranky, childish and at times mean....so what. we all have our days. i can think of no one in recent history who has touched so many lives and one who portrays a sensibility and ability to reason that we all strive to emulate.

enough of the negative postings. there is no argument. i look forward to the history part 2. we should all listen.

Face it,.. O&A will never achieve the level of success Howard has...and the reason being... they don't have the talent. The only fans left are the ones that enjoy pedophile jokes ad nauseum.

The main problem with O&A is that they seem to try too hard to be 'crude'. They sound a bit juvenile. Stern sounds a little bit more natural and not 'forced'. I guess that is what Sterns talent is.

I'm not an O&A fan but here's all Sterns show is. HOO HOO I'm so great Robin. I told em all. Some Imus bashing goes here, Christopher Nolan ripped me off, Dark Knight was my idea first. He's a Howard Stern imitator. Henry Ford ripped me off too, the form of transportation known as a car was my idea. Porn guest stars for the 100000th time and by the way it's not sexy if you can't see them. Really now, no one else in recent memory has touched as many lives as Stern? There were 38 million people worldwide who tuned in to see Barack Obama's DNC speech.I am sure Stern found some way to take credit for that though. I bet there haven't been 38 million people listening to Stern at one time. I'm not bashing anyone who listens to Stern or anything of the sort I am just saying that at the end of the day it's just a comedy show for your entertainment. The same applies to O&A, Bubba, & R&F they are all just there for us to be entertained and make our day a little easier. To the guy who said that we're still listening to The Rolling Stones and The Beatles 44 years later he's right. In 20 years we still will be listening to them as well as we will Led Zeppelin because they changed music forever. Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath were basically the birth of hard rock as we know it today.

I can't wait for Part III where Sirius's stock drops from $6.50/share when Howie joined to 12 cents today.

If he wants to take credit for every single subscriber since October 2004 up through and including all the XM subs that folded in through the merger, he ought to own up to destroying the same industry he claims to have revolutionized.

We probably won't get to hear Part III, because Sirius XM will no longer exist.

I think it is cool listening to how stern progressed thoughout the years. I subscribe to sirius for the nfl, but got hooked on stern. His voice in the early years drives me nuts but he and the show has evolved and I personally enjoy it.

How many other shows give you new programming while they ARE ON VACATION? If Dopie & HVACthony could get as much vacation, they would take it too, but they'd probably lose the last few FM stations they have left... 0.0
