The Return of Imus?
Don Imus may be returning to the airwaves in September, according to to private eye Bo Dietl, who was a regular on the "Imus in the Morning" show.
Page Six is reporting that Dietl said on Post State Editor Fred Dicker's Albany radio show, "I'm not supposed to say, but... if he was to be coming back, I would look to September."
When Dicker asked if he meant satellite radio, Dietl replied, "Broadcast."
Another source says Imus has been scouting comedy clubs looking for a black sidekick who will take the sting out of any future racial cracks like the one that got him booted off the air.
Personally, I think Imus on satellite radio would be a great move. But neither XM or Sirius, or their investors, are looking to sign any big-name contracts anytime soon.

Comments
With XM/Sirius waiting on government approval for the merger, there's no way they're touching the racial nuclear waste that is Imus right now. Perhaps if the merger is approved...
Besides, how much could Imus cost at this point? He's a disgraced, elderly shock-jock who hasn't had decent numbers since the early '80's...
And it's not like SatRad would be seriously bidding against testicle radio for his services, as any terrestrial company isn't going to give him what CBS was, anyway.
Throw him a few bucks. Include the Geritol and Depends and call it a day.
Hell, XM could pair him with Greg & Tony. That would draw dozens of new subs.

Cunt,
It just shows how little you know and the assumptions you make. I know Howie has told you for years that Imus sucks and makes no money. Fact is he is one of the most profitable shows on the air. His listener base, while small, is very well off and ad revenue for his show is substantial. How do you think he stays on the air w/o that many listeners? He makes a lot of money for CBS.

Doesn't XM and SIRIUS broadcast their broadcasts?

Anyone who remembers the early days of "Imus vs Howard" on NBC knows the real reason that Howie holds a grudge against Imus. Imus scared the piss out of him. That all changed later, particularly when they both ended up working for Mel, but Howie never got over the days when he was "bullied" by Imus.
Poor pissy-pants, sissy-boy Hoo Hoo. No wonder he still needs to see a therapist on a regular basis.
Imus still has two things that Hoo Hoo sold away a long time ago - a soul and a spine.
