The Vibrations are one of the greatest groups of the 50's and 60's. They never really got the credict or recognition they deserved. Would you please put them on the next show if it available. Once you see this group perform in person or on stage you will never forget them.

Hi TJ:

I am a fan of yours and truly enjoy the Doo Wop music. I have been trying to find a song
that I remember the words but not the artist. Maybe you can help?

The song goes like this:
Once upon a time I almost lost my mind I was lonely, so lonely
Hoping everyday things would go my way
then you came into my life now everything is fine,
I never knew what love could do til I met you
Now everything is oh so cozy
Now my skies are blue all because of you,
I'm so glad; I was lonely .......

I hope you can help. I would like to purchase the song but I don't know the artist.

Thanks again, and keep up the great work.

Gloria

Thank you so much for your dedication to the music from this era. Hope to move back to the Pittsburgh area soon and then we will be able to catch some of the live PBS performances.

PS: Could you play "Waiting for the Big Knock" by the Stereos the next chance you get or Sandy Nelson's "All Night Long" for the Bridgeville "Teenland" gang!

He NEVER replies or responds to fan email.

Love the PBS Doo Wop shows and the one with Frankie Avalon. Please, please do a show with Fabian, Frankie Avalon, Paul Anka, Bobby Rydell, Freddie Cannon, Chubby Checker, etc. - LATE 50's EARLY 60's before the Beatles caused everything to go to H---.

Love you and the shows - don't have Sirius (can't afford it). Do you by any chance have a show on AM or FM for us really "old" stuck-in-the past people???? ha!

Take care and thanks forever for all the wonderful memories!!

I AM LOOKING FOR AN OLDIES SHOW ON 5/24 OR 5/25 TO BE HELD IN OR AROUND ORLANDO, FL.

Hoping you could help direct me in marketing a group we have on sale at the Bryce Jordan Center. I know that Pittsburgh is known for DooWop and that you are very knowledgeable. On Saturday, June 28th, we have the CURBSIDE CLASSICS DOO WOP CONCERT at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park (Penn State). The featured headliners are: LITTLE ANTHONY & THE IMPERIALS, JIMMY BEAUMONT & THE SKYLINERS, THE FLAMINGOS, KID KYLE, AND THE SOLID GOLD BAND.

Any information you could help me with would be appreciated. And by the way, your show is great!

TJ,

The PBS Righteous Brothers show I just viewed on 6/4/08, was a total disaster in my humble opinion. Why show a great group at their worst. What a pity! I can't believe you would even air such an off key, untuned, out of sync disaster, and then claim that this was recorded when they were at their best. Just more lies and hype to get funds for PBS! Were these guys high on drugs or what.. They couldn't even hit the high notes, much less hold the tune. Thank god for the original recordings!

Shame Shame, Shame..

TJ,you are the best. Thanks for bringing back the great memories of my youth. How can I get DVD's of ALL of your past PBS Doo Wop Shows,I have a few but I know that there are many more. Thanks & keep up the good work.I am a member & would like more info on your upcoming shows also.Take care,Vin

Why post any questions...seems like TJ doesn,t respond to any??

tj . i really enjoy all of your music specials especially those of the 1950s/1960s. it great to see these older veteran musicians of 40/50 years get up there and do their thing. i think you do a great job hosting the specials. do you think you can get any of these artists on ?the angels, bob lind[sang elusive butterfly] spanky and gang. keep up the good work

Will TJ Lubinsky be bringing us new doo wop shows in 2009? I loved the memories the last shows brought back.

TJ- I love turning on channel 13/21 and seeing Jay Black, Larry Chance and the Earls, and so many of the other groups that are performing. It reminds us all of when we as kids had fun-good times-when songs had REAL meaning! The music of today will never have the loyalty of the listeners, or the longjevity of an era. Thank-you for keeping that spirit alive!! I hope you do a show in the NY area. I would so love to be a part of it!! Again, thank-you for a job well done!! Say hi to cousin Brucie, and let him know he's missed where he belongs 101.1

i was wondering how i can find out where i can purchase tickets for your next doo wop public broadcasting specials. i would love to be able to go. i live in new jersey would you have a schedule of where these groups will be performing together. i would just love to spend a night of doo wops. thanks

I want tix to the next PBS Doo Wop Show. How do I get them?

Will there be a Doo Wop at 60 Concert?

I'm sorry but I can't stand the PBS doo wop shows. There are just too many switches. You never get to see much of the performers. Also a few shots of the enthusiastic audience are ok but they do waaaaay too many of them. Please, just let us see the performers! The director needs to try the decafe at Starbucks next time.

..also they only do these on fund raising nights. They state that they are keeping the doo wop flame alive but you never see any doo wop on PBS during regular programming. That's more than misleading, it is misrepresentation in order to get contributions.

I am trying to find tickets for the next PBS Doo Wop concert in NY/NJ.
Please advise. Thank you

Hello TJ, it's been a while since we've had any contact with you, however, we wanted to inform you that BOBBY LESTERS MOONGLOWS are still in existance and available for any concert's in the future. Since the Doo Wop 50-51, we had lost all contact with you. If there's an opportunity that is open in the future, your serious consideration for our participation would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

THE FABULOUS MOONGLOWS
