Tom MorelloTom Morello, the legendary guitarist best known from the bands Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, his acoustic solo act The Nightwatchman and now, Street Sweeper Social Club - will host a new show that will air three Sundays a month on Sirius XM's Faction channel.

Morello was ranked #26 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time"
The show, Axis of Justice, launched on Sunday, May 17th at 9pm ET on Sirius XM's Faction channel (Sirius channel 28 and XM channel 52).

Tom Morello's show is named after the non-profit organization formed by himself and Serj Tankian from System Of A Down, Axis of Justice. Its mission is "to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together."

The radio show Axis of Justice is meant to reflect that agenda while also featuring rebel music by artists including The Clash, Public Enemy and Bob Marley.

During the show, Morello and his occasional guest co-host Tankian will discuss the meaning of the songs they play by these artists and talk about how they relate to social and political events today. Morello will also welcome special guests from the music world and political worlds and other celebrities.

Check out the video below where Morello and his Street Sweeper Social Club bandmate, Boots Riley, discuss the new Axis of Justice radio show on Sirius XM Radio.

Fungus isn't coming back. The End.

Sickest Morello Solo: Bring Em Back Alive

"Social justice." We're talking about good, old-fashioned Communism here, folks!

Tom Morello is one of the most overrated guitar players ever. And frankly, he's a bore with this non-stop commie rhetoric all the time. Exactly zero people will be excited for this show. Deeper playlists and better sound quality are what listeners are demanding, but instead we're rolling out the welcome mat for the Reds. Meh.

Just play music, nobody cares about your politics or your "social message."

Who's fungus?

I love that people are coming in and doing shows but I just wish they would get some consistency with the schedule. 3 sundays a month??? are you to busy on that forth sunday? Sirus xm has a ton of shows that are like that its so hard to keep up with. Just have a consistent schedule it ill help keep us on the up and up. I love my slacker too btw. I use both everyday.

Its good to see new talent on faction. I hope they can continue this trend, adding people with some credibilty, unlike Ellis and Margera. Maybe Morello will add some professionalism to faction. This channel is like a bastard son to sirixm. They are using it to make up for the lack of a punk channel, unfortunately, extreme sports characters just are not going to cut it.

This show sounded awefully familiar and now I remember why, 43 XMU aired this show back in like 2003-2004. It was later bumped to XM Live and then dropped altogether.

Guess Sirius couldn't wait to put yet another talk show on a music channel, yay! Faction is a horrible channel, put "shock talk" on a talk channel. But even when the channel isn't talking it's a mix of hard rock/rap and some popular punk (Greenday and Offspring galore) so they can cite the service has a "punk channel". Yea .... I'm not a skater/extreme sports type so I won't get it. I just see a dial spot that could house a unique music format, like true punk. Instread its another lifestyle/variety channel, whoopie ....

Fungus isn't coming back

I've got news for ya commonsense Ellis is the only reason most people listen to Faction. I agree that Faction isn't a punk channel but Fungus couldn't have been doing that great when it was on XM because they took it off. Most people don't care that Fungus is gone because if they did it would be back. Examples Boneyard, Strobe and Backspin, and even if those channels aren't good as the XM versions they still brought the channel back.

First, I dont care about fungus, I was pointing out that sirixm has directed listeners complaining about a lack of punk to faction. As far as Jason Ellis goes, I think he is subpar broadcaster as well as Bam Margera. If people enjoy their shows, cool, I always got the impression that these guys were trying to hard to be funny and their shows didnt seem very structured. Like I said, it doesnt seem very professional, But I guess their trying to be "extreme". I do hope sirixm has plans for a new punk channel in the future, seperate from faction.

Exactly zero people will be excited for this show
