Uber-deal: Pioneer Inno on Woot for $69

Discounted Pioneer Inno
The Pioneer Inno is back on Woot today, for the incredible price of $69.99. We last saw this deal a couple weeks ago as part of the Woot Sellout, and now it's hit Woot! proper.

Of course, it's a refurbished Pioneer Inno2 - but for that price, who's complaining? Go get it while supplies last.

[woot!]
Thanks Mikey!

YEAH! lets hear it for the low price on years old electronics which in a very short time will have nothing to receive when xm (and the rest of the satrad industry) goes under.

I got mine a couple weeks ago as part of the Sellout.Woot! and it is an amazing little receiver. I highly recommend purchasing one if you're into upgrading your XM Radio.

I just got one ~!

has-been electronics for a has-been satrad company. $69.99 proves there are suckers who will pay for anything even crap like the Pioneer Inno.

Imagine paying $69.99 for a used up, obsolete radio and find all you can get on it is crappy xm radio (at least till xm goes belly up)

The more read the comment section the more I find idiocy. Many people on here do actually give an intelligent comment but there are quite a bit of dummies that add nothing. Now being honestly critical is one thing but just saying Sirius sucks or XM sucks because your favorite radio host is on it is retarded. The anti-Stern and anti-Opie & Anthony crowd really are cancers to this site. But also the anti-Sirius and anti-XM crowd, which I have a feeling this comes from the retarded radio wars of Stern and Opie & Anthony but anyone who enjoys satellite radio and wants it to succeed should not be interested in one company going under. The retarded logic that one will fail and the other will be so successful is flawed. Both companies are struggling. Which is obviously why they are attempting to merger. Both have their ups and downs and I subscribe to both for that reason. I guarantee the majority of people who say XM sucks or Sirius sucks have never actually listened to it or listened to it with such a bias, As in the Opie & Anthony and Stern morons.

The Inno is actually a very old product now. That is why it is so cheap. Also it is refurbished. Obvious but there are dipshits out there.

Disturbed Logic = moron & a dipshit

Thanks for the re-post of more preaching but this is orbitcast not the Disturbed Logic has personal issues web site.

By the way the merger has nothing to do with both sirius and xm struggling, but keep on drinking the kool-aid.

Why is oprah posting on this site? Doesn't she have better things to do?

I already own an Inno, but a friend of mine broke his XM a couple months ago and I told him about this deal. Not surprisingly, he said there's no way he's paying for a new radio until something happens with the merger.

I assume that's the way it will be with most people until it's resolved. Nobody is buying anything until then.

In 25 years, all satellite radios will be collectors' items. Save 'em for eBay Antiques.

It sure has been a fun run while it lasted.

Anything from 25 years ago is a collector's item

I have an Inno and find it very handy on an airplaine when listening to stored content. But until they fix that battery discharge problem so that the unit doesnt drain down to 0 in a day sitting on the desk its inferior.

Download the latest firmware and that problem disappears

There's a firmware update that fixed the battery drain problem. If the battery is bad you can buy a new one for about $20.

I'll never understand why they don't just offer the whole line-up to mobile phones. Sure, you'll lose a sizeable chunk of the retail, but the deals will probly half that loss, plus your platform has a wider potential audience, those sooner willing to pony up some scratch for a service instead of buying a seperate device.

I (as the HNIC) for one don't want sat radio on my phone. Thats nothing but a waste of space and battery. Putting sat radio on any communication device is a crutch to the handset makers and the mobile service operators. Like dual Sat subscriber pointed out satrad is OVER. Stick a fork in its because thanks to greed, arrogance and the cockamame "merge" MONOPOLY scheme sat radio is DONE, OVER. Do yourselves a smart favor and forget about the obsolete Pioneer inno trash and invest in the future of radio... HD RADIO http://www.hdradio.com/

I have the Helix (the Inno's fraternal twin), which I use every day in the office, and today all day at the pool. It's a great device. If you enjoy XM, as I do, you cannot go wrong with this device. Regardless of whether the merger goes through or not, you will get a number of years of use out of it. For $70 bucks, you can't go wrong.

oprah is a ccccun...

@ Oprah - Just another terrestrial radio employee trolling at the sat radio sites because, well, he got tired of listening to FM/HD -- HD radio is so lame, they try to trick you with the "HD" name -- it is certainly not High Definition! Just FM with less crackles. Ya know....a crappy McDonald's burger still tastes like crap when served on a better plate. Enjoy HD radio....the same lousy programming and commercials, with a new name.

Also, remember that the NAB opposed FM, too.

rhapsody and social networking is the future of radio.... sad.

I find it interesting that a once $400 radio is almost given away, with no new radio offerings, makes me think dark days are ahead.

More proof that XM is dead. Unload that shit and don't tell the shit eating XM and 0.0 fans that it will be uesless in a year.

I think satellite radio is pretty much doomed unless some one out right buys the surviving company and throws a ton of cash into it. I just sadly don't see a bright future. I thought companies had to make a profit. It has been 7 years and no hope of a profit, so this can't go on for ever.

@ iband Just another blind, ignorant sat radio fanboy completely out of touch with reality.

"Ya know....a crappy McDonald's burger still tastes like crap when served on a better plate," you mean just like how sat radio has become. Just like the obsolete Inno both are crap. Mel has failed when he was looking for a quick payday he tried this "merge" MONOPOLY game, his actions and the action of Sirius and xm have crippled if not completely killed off the entire sat radio industry.

iband better to educate yourself before continuing to make yourself the fool.

Shove that shit up your cunt Oprah. Mel is saving Satrad. His buyout of XM is almost complete. And show us the compelling content that HD radio has? Does it have NASCAR, NFL, and most importantly, Howard Stern??? Thats right, it doesn't. Content is King and once Mel is finished making XM his bitch, he will do the same to HD/FM. Suck it Sirius haters.

@ Anonymous Coward = Just another blind, ignorant sat radio fanboy completely out of touch with reality.

The Washington Post has reported that XM radio is bleeding revenues in order to sign up subscribers faster than its competitor, Sirius.

Sirius is playing the same game, gushing revenues to beat XM to new subscribers.

The investment is futile. Satellite as a medium for content is yesterday’s technology. Satellite might be used as a conduit in the future, but as a content provider, it’s a goner.

Why Satellite Radio Will Fail
http://www.fool.com/investing/high-growth/2007/05/02/why-satellite-radio-will-fail.aspx
"Satellite radio once held a lot of potential: commercial-free, unfettered by the FCC, and able to play whatever the stations wanted. Instead, it's opted for safety. As big-name radio executives like Mel Karmazin moved to satellite, it became more like terrestrial radio. And when there is little difference between what your local Zoo station is playing -- woo-hoo! wheee! yuk! yuk! -- and what you can find on satellite, not even a merger of XM and Sirius can save it."

"Satellite radio is not affecting advertising sales for analog radio. Advertisers want to know: who they are reaching; how old the listeners are; how many listeners there are; and what the listeners plan to buy. This is not possible with satellite radio because "the companies count audiences by the number of radios there are and not the number of actual listeners. What happens is if a satellite radio is installed in a new car, and that car sits on the dealer showroom and is not sold, satellite radio still counts it as a subscriber. There is no way for advertisers to know who the satellite audience is."

i love the Sirius idiot fanboys who think that Sirius is awesome because of NASCAR, NFL, and STERN.

1) NASCAR -listening to cars going in a circle more boring than watching cars going in a cirlce
2) NFL, would listen to only as a last resort. definitely better watching
3) Stern- WGAS!! not worth the cost of a subscription, and when he retires in a couple years, what will you be left with.

if thats all Sirius has to offer, then I sure as hell hope my XM programming doesn't get altered because of this merger

They're unloading once $400 radios because:
A) The radio's are over 2 years old and don't cost that much to manufacture anymore.
B) Retail is dead. Sirius with their 1 billion dollar man only pulled in 2500 retail subs last quarter. There must sure be a lot of people picking up that brick called the Stiletto II that's exactly the same as the Stiletto I that no one bought.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! HD radio what a lame product
you cant even compare it to sat rad! its like comparing a bubba burger to the supermarket brand@!

HD Digital Radio • IT'S TIME TO trash it!!!!!
HD Digital Radio. It's finished. It's pathetic. even though It's free. ignore IT!

HD Radio will be here long after sat radio is dead, which won't be too long now. Mel's failed "merge" MONOPOLY game is just about finished in killing sat radio for good.
