A member of XMFan has uploaded a video of his brand new XMp3 portable XM satellite radio that he bought at Best Buy. Watch the extremely detailed video below...
looks pretty damn nice! (would've been nice for them to throw in Wifi though...)
only thing i can't get is the $280 pricetag......
i remember when the ipod first came out it was like $500 for a 5 gb player now you can get a player for like $150........why haven't these things come down in price as the years go by?
maybe the open access thing will lower prices and up the innovation, but somehow, i doubt it....
Nice unit, I'm considering getting a refurb inno since it's cheap now. Also, I don't like the attitude of the "anon" post above, it was credited in a perfectly legitimate way and included the source link. This site saves me lots of time of searching other forums for news, why the hate?
The user is "xzi" who posted the video. I (xmguy) sent you (Ryan) the link to share. Pity some have to gripe over who gets credit. If Ryan wants to say us both or just xzi. It doesn't matter to me. Don't you all have more important things to worry about!?
What is xmfan the center of the internet or something? Orbitcast is about satellite radio news and such, and this fits right in. It's a godo video to watch to see what you can and can't do with it and how the interface is. It's bascially like test driving a car.
I'd much rather get my news here than from xmfan anyways. Biased towards xm anymore please? Thanks for the post Ryan, and thanks for emailing it in XM Guy.
One of my favorite features of the INNO is the stock sticker. I see the new player has this feature too. However I dont know how to get the indices to display... like the S&P or the DJIA. Does anyone know how to get this on their Inno?
Please ensure I get the appropriate credit for this post!!!
saw the you tube video and I was sold. Just ordered one online at the Best Buy site. The "must have" apps were the programming guide and the ability to record up to five channels at once. I schedule all of my recording for 12- 6 AM for listening on the next day. That way, I can skip through songs and talk that doesn't interest me but still have fresh material. I have two innos now doing this. I may cancel one subscription and swap the other to my new xmp3. Also love the m-f record feature. That was just common sense.
Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones from Monster (Read reviews)
Beats by Dr. Dre headphones are not only stylish, but have great noise-canceling and incredible bass. Perfect for rock, hip-hop, pop music, and more. Definitely my favorite headphones yet.
Once I saw this video. I practically drooled! I've gotta get once of those.
oh look, orbitcunt stole another xmfan post. nice.
So you give the guy who found it credit, but not to the guy who actually made it. nice going, ryan.

Need new toy, my Inno seems so crappy now.
@Anon If I knew who was the maker of the video, I would give him credit.

Judging by the name of the person who uploaded the video, I'd say he's Tony. Or xzi at xmfan.com
XMGUY, NICE FIND!
That thing looks sweet!
XMFan is for tools. You can find them in the garden department at K-Mart.
The user is "xzi" from XMFAN.com. I just send you a the link.

I updated the post to include a link to xzi's own blog.

Anyone who's been following Orbitcast for the past 4 years knows that I always give credit whenever possible.
Sorry all. I forgot to e-mail the video author to Ryan. I'm just glad XZI got the credit!

What's the scoop on FM modulator. Does it only work in the car dock?
No built-in FM Mod.
