Volvo to Offer SIRIUS Satellite Radio As Factory Installed Option

Starting with the 2007 model year, Volvo plans to offer factory installed SIRIUS Satellite Radio on the following vehicle lines:
  • Volvo S40
  • Volvo V50
  • Volvo C70
  • All-New Volvo S80
Each Volvo S40, V50, and C70 vehicle factory equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio (MSRP $295) will include a six-month subscription.

The All-New Volvo S80, available later in model year 2007, will also offer a factory equipped SIRIUS radio with a six-month subscription. Packaging and pricing information will be announced at a later date.

No surprize here because Volvo is owned by Ford, just like Mazda, Jaguar and Aston Martin.

Who couldn't see this coming.....they're Ford in a nut shell. Factory installed doesn't surprise me either because I would expect that if I paid that much for a car.

Why is this news they already had a deal with Volvo. My wife has 2005 S60 that came prepped for Sirius. which I had to take even though I did not want it...Factory option or not the execution at Volvo prior to this has been horrible...
