Wow, I guess I need an hour-long show
Orbitcast Radio was a complete hit, and did 10-times better than I ever could have expected. Thank you all for who called in, participated in the chat room (which is still booming right now as I write this), and especially who listened in.
This will definitely be an ongoing weekly show, and obviously I'll need to make it longer. Let's try 1-hour next time and see how it goes.
If you want to download the show, click here for the streaming or MP3 version. Or if you want, subscribe to the RSS feed so you can download it as a podcast.
Or try out the player below:
Again, thanks all for the incredible debut show, and feel free to comment here on your thoughts (such as: a better day/time, topics, criticism, etc.).
UPDATE: Here's a direct link to the MP3 file.

8:00pm instead of in the afternoon? more notice for orbitcast radio?
only two things I could come up with. But hey I can rant again about FM transmitters in the next one. :)

How about a little notice before the show is going to broadcast? I wanted to call in and be the first to Ramoooone!
congrats!

Loved the first show and thanks for taking my call. I might not be able to catch every show but will hear all of them. The times won't please everyone so do them when you can. Again really enjoyed the first show which went by way to quickly.

Ryan - Put it on Sirius or XM. I was only able to get onto the blog radio site one hour after the show started. It practically crashed my computer. I just had a chat in that blogradio room with Snick the first caller who said he had the same issue as me. Plus I could hardly hear what you were saying on the phone.

@NorCalMurph: I was surprised there were no "ramones" - I'm going to be making this a regular thing - so there'll be PLENTY of notice next time.
What times of the day would everyone think is best? early afternoon? (for the people who are at work) or later on in the day?

Evenings are much better for commuters in my opinion.

Not for nothing, but this was pretty impressive to listen to. You sounded A LITTLE nervous in the beginning, but that took you a whole 2 minutes to get over. After that, it was just a really cool show! Great job. Really. Very impressed
I personally listen in at work, so 1 PM was perfect for me.

Can I download an MP3 file of this show (at work) so I can copy it to a CD to listen on the way home?
I don't have time to listen at work.
Help Ryan.

Like others....the 1:00pm start time is cool for me...I can make my lunch at that time and hear the show live.

The 1:00pm show is fime for me as others are stating...I can work my lunch time in at that time.

The link gets me to a download button ... but ...
the download button launches Windows Media Player and
that won't let me save the file as an MP3.
Anyone else getting it as an MP3 ?

Hey peeps, I had trouble with the audio for the first 15 minutes. HOWEVER, IF YOU RIGHT CLICK THE LINK AND COPY ADDRESS, YOU CAN PASTE IT INTO WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER VIA URL. It worked like a charm.
On another note, Ryan, great job, you sound like you have a lot of potential with this radio hosting stuff, you sound like Bubba to be honest lol.
One more thing, Ryan, Please find a topic for your show before hand so you and your callers/you can study and ask/answer intelligently which will make things 10x better/more organized.
Thanks! =)
