XM blows past 500,000 new subscribers (540k to be exact) for Q1!

XM Satellite Radio destroyed all analysts estimates today when they announced adding over 540,000 new net subscribers during the first quarter of 2005 for a total of 3.77 million subscribers.

That's a 68% increase in new subscribers compared to the first quarter of 2004 (which was 321,675 new subscribers).

"This was the best first quarter in the history of XM," said Hugh Panero, President and CEO of XM Satellite Radio.
