XM CommercialOut of the final four agencies that XM was considering - The Richards Group, Wieden + Kennedy, DDB in New York, and Lowe - XM Satellite Radio has selected Lowe for its estimated $50 million ad account.

Lowe will take over the creative duties from Mullen which will continue to handle buying and planning activities. Interestingly, Lowe and Mullen are both owned by the same holding company, Interpublic Group.

I can't wait to see the direction that Lowe takes XM's creative, as Mullen's were... lackluster in my opinion, to say the least.

all the advertising in the world can not help XM at this point. while XM was sleeping, Sirius took off with brand awareness. Sirius is, and will forever be, the IPOD of satellite radio.

Wow, there are some smart people who post here.

youre probably the same guy who was saying in 1998 how apple was done and could never be saved.

Im for all the changes to the XM ad campaign possible. As long as they stop marketing as Snoop Dogg's service I think it can only go up. Was it too late to make the change though? we will see

I also look forward to their commercials. I would suppose this is why we have not seen any commercials. Its got to beat those "spoon was dicovered here" spots, those were useless. The latest one explaining what XM is are much better.

Dont feed the trools!

I can just see Lee Abrams spearheading the Snoop Dog Campaign.

Lee: We need whats NOW. We can't relegate ourselves to the past. We need Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, David Bowie and of course our show stopper Snoop Dog!!!

XM is stuck in the past. Lee implementing his good ole days of radio mentality ala 1940's and 1950's is the ultimate doom of XM. You can't be the future of radio if everything you do is tired and dated.

"Dont feed the trools!"

There you have it! The perfect example of the kettle calling the pot black! Sticker Boy Ramone would be proud!

how many times are people going to bring up this "sticker boy" (yech, horrible hack phrase) who hasnt posted in months?

95% of the people who post here are as you say "sticker boys" you just fail to see it.

Now back to relevant talk. After watching a few of the Lowes spots for other products I am very excited by what I see. If they can find a way to market XM the way they did with Axe, Lynx and Audi, among others, then I think they might be able to help quite a bit.

"95% of the people who post here are as you say "sticker boys"..."

Wow. That's SO gay. Are you fellas gonna make movies together?
