XM Satellite Radio has finalized their agreements with the four-pillars of the RIAA with the announcement that a deal was reached with EMI Music.Previous deals were made with Sony BMG in February, and with Universal and Warner in late 2007.
As a result, EMI is the last of the major music labels to withdrawn its complaint filed against XM over the Inno's recording capabilities.
That should hold xm over till the soon upcoming bankruptcy and complete shutdown of xmradio

Could this have been the hold up for new equipment? if so the done deal came not one moment too soon for the Holiday rush (If there is one in retail)
Inno2? Try Stilleto3. Thats what the XM fanbois will be listening to in a few months. The outdated XM technology is done for with this merger.

I've got both an Inno and Stiletto2 and let me tell you, I like the Stiletto better. The WiFi is awesome at home. And I thnk Siruis' sound quality is a bitt better than XM.
However, the XM repeater and satellite network is a bit better than Sirius.
HD Radio's sound quality is a lot better than both sat radio companies.
HD radio sucks. I took mine back for a refund after I purchased my new car and tried Sirius. Simply no comparison.
Jon, you've obviously never used an Inno. The ability to delete anything you want and save anything you want, not blocks, makes the Inno far and away the best radio going. Stiletto is still to bulky, limited in what it can record, gets terrible reception, can't get any signal w/o the awful headphones and has shit sounding WiFi.
