Baseball veteran and XM Satellite Radio on-air host Buck Martinez has been chosen to manage the U.S. team, one of 16 teams competing in the first-ever World Baseball Classic international tournament. Martinez is the co-anchor of the XM Satellite Radio program “Baseball This Morning,” heard every weekday morning on MLB Home Plate (XM Channel 175).
The World Baseball Classic starts on March 3rd in Japan's Tokyo Dome, and its champion will be crowned on March 20th in San Diego's PETCO Park. Martinez will continue to co-anchor XM’s “Baseball This Morning” as he takes on his new manager’s position for the World Baseball Classic.

Note to Buck Martinez,
Buck I would like to talk or e-mail you about an old photo I received of the 1959 Redding Redlegs. I have a copy for you but can't figure out how to reach you. If you would, contact me at tjschwerdt@yahoo.com. Thanks
Tom Schwerdt
This is for buck martinez. Hey you freaking idiot, you don't get to just make shit up and spew out there as gospel just because you're on the radio. Your comments about manny ramirez and why he left the indians you made on 10-15-07 were completely inaccurate. You said he was actually offered more money by the indians to stay than the 8 year 160 million offered by the red sox and that cleveland actually offered him a 30 million sigining bonus. You also said he left because he just felt he needed to be on a bigger stage. None of those comments are accurate in fact they are far from it. I know will always wonder what other garbage you are fabricating. You have lost all credibility with me and i suspect any well informed fan. So long sucker.
Hi Buck (John Albert),
It has been many years since we have spoken. Remember what happened on your birthday in 1986? I do.
I live in Tucson and loving it.
Say "Hi" to Arlene and Casey for me.
You have my email address. Please use it.
Best regards,
Jeff
