We heard that for XM Satellite Radio to get back into the good graces, all that was needed was the addition of a 25-cent part. Well, lo-and-behold, here's the first modification applied to a Roady XT in the form of a ferrite bead. More than likely what you see here will be molded for production purposes... but you get the idea.

The XM antenna's a part of the FM modulation process. In the manual, it says to place it as close to your car's antenna as possible. It definitely emits some kind of signal.
Yeah, professional installers are definetly going to put something that makes their install ugly on. No problem.
what exactly is the issue with the fm modulator? Bought the Inno a few weeks ago, works great, then this comes up...
If you have an Inno that works in FM modulation in hand held mode, Dont upgrade the firmm ware or it woulnt any more
Just installed the Inno FM modulator, getting lots of static hiss, interference. Pulled the power adapter cord away from the antenna cord, they were neatly bundled next to each other,s ferrite filters where they go in to car dock station. Still got hiss. Completely removed the power cord out of dock, just running on battery; still getting a little hiss. What's with this.
