According to Edmunds' Inside Line, XM Satellite Radio is working with Nu-Metrics and InfoGation on a concept called "Dynamic Parking Information."

The concept, displayed at the ITS America World Congress this week uses color-keyed icons to indicate the percentage of available spaces at a parking lot through the vehicle's navigation system. Sensors embedded in the parking lots (such as in airport garages and shopping centers) transmit information to the navigation system in the vehicle.
