Danica PatrickXM Satellite Radio will be the title-sponsor of the IndyCar Series season opener at Homestead-Miami Speedway: the XM Satellite Radio Indy 300.

Held on Saturday, March 24th, the XM Satellite Radio Indy 300 is scheduled to start at 8pm ET. The race will of course be broadcast live on XM’s IndyCar Series channel (ch 145).

While this is the sixth consecutive year that Homestead-Miami Speedway has kicked off the IndyCar Series, this will be the first time in the history of open wheel racing that a season opening race will be held at night and the winner crowned under the lights.

And yes, I'll jump at the chance to post any photo of Danica Patrick that I can... just because.

Speaking of Danica Patrick, the promos they are playing on xm for her new show are laughable. It goes a little something like this "we have a chance to hide behind a microphone and show the fans who we really are and we can cut jokes and play pranks on each other". This is what her show is going to be? first off saying you are hiding behind a microphone is not a positive thing and i also find it hard to believe that their is going to be enough pranks played to warrant listening, yes she is hot, but what does that have to do with being on the radio?

Im not a fan but i guess INDY is not NASCAR???

By all means, please continue to find reasons to post photos of Danica Patrick.

So is she the Anna Kournikova of racing? The big difference to me seems to be that Anna is hotter...

Yeah, if Anna Kournikova were the only female tennis player, playing in the men's tournament. She's more like the Michelle Wie of Racing.

Danica has skill though. Anna was never really considered to a great tennis player just a hot one.

Maybe she will win a race this year

Racing coverage on the radio is a "why" to me. Who cares who sponsers these people and the racing they do for a living. To me, race coverage on the radio is such a waste of time and money.
