XM Satellite Radio will launch a new talk and lifestyle channel targeting women called Take Five. This new women's channel will feature daily satellite radio broadcasts of the Emmy Award-winning "Ellen DeGeneres Show," and the new "Tyra Banks Show," as well as original content from the Food Network and HGTV. XM's new Take Five will launch in October 2005.
Take Five will also include "The Judith Warner Show," which will be hosted by the New York Times best-selling author of 'Perfect Madness: Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety'.
To kickoff the launch of Take Five, Ellen DeGeneres will be giving away Pioneer AirWare XM2go portable satellite radio receivers to her in-studio audience during the first week of the new season of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Take Five's weekday programming lineup will include audio broadcasts of the Emmy Award-winning and consistently top-rated "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." Produced by A Very Good Production and WAD Productions, Inc. in association with Telepictures Productions, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" features a unique mix of celebrity interviews, A-list musical performers, segments spotlighting real people with extraordinary stories and talents, and music from Ellen's resident DJ Tony Okungbowa.
The Tyra Banks Show
Also included in the Take Five programming lineup are audio broadcasts of a new daytime syndicated talk show debuting September 12, hosted by supermodel and TV personality, Tyra Banks. "The Tyra Banks Show" is produced by Bankable Productions and Handprint Entertainment in association with Telepictures Productions. The show focuses on Tyra's generation of women and the things they care about. There will be a variety of segments each day ranging from interviews with real women talking about issues that are relevant to all their lives like relationships and body image, interviews with favorite celebrities, musical performances, and fun stuff like fashion and beauty, pop culture, and lifestyle segments.
Food Network
Take Five's program lineup also will include original content and reversioned Food Network favorites in one-hour segments and short-form programming for XM. Listeners will join celebrity chefs Giada Delaurentiis, Rachael Ray, Alton Brown and others in exploring new, different, and interesting ways to approach food through culture, adventure, travel while also expanding its repertoire of technique-based information. HGTV
Take Five will also feature original content and reversioned HGTV favorites in one-hour segments and short-form programming for XM. The Judith Warner Show
Hosted by the author of Perfect Madness: Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety, a New York Times bestseller, "The Judith Warner Show" will be one of several original XM programs airing exclusively on Take Five. The author of a range of nonfiction books and a former special correspondent for Newsweek in Paris, Warner has written about politics and women's issues for magazines, including The New Republic and Elle.
