Daily Wireless has some speculation about exactly that. Spurred by DirecTV CEO Chase Carey’s comments that they are planning to work with “an array of partners” to bring video programming to devices other than TV. Specifically he mentioned that at CES 2006, DirecTV will have “a fair amount of devices of our own.”

“That is going to be how you continue to expand the DirecTV experience beyond simply television.”

Daily Wireless points at the XM and DirecTV partnership as well as XM’s attempt to acquire WCS as hints towards what could be coming down the pipe. Very interesting stuff indeed.
