The cocktail hour was held in the Atrium in the Time Warner building at Columbus Circle. Very classy presentation, with live entertainment from the Victor Goines Quartet during the reception.

They had a few MyFi’s and the new Tao XM2go there.

Lots of XM on-air hosts from both DC and NYC where there, as well as XM executives, music industry peeps, Jazz at Lincoln Center board members, and others.

(My shitty camera decided to flip out on me just as I was trying to get this shot, but Opie patiently waited as I cursed at the stupid thing and finally was able to take it. Very cool.)

After the cocktail reception we were all rewarded with an awesome performance in the Allen Room. Hugh Panero got up on stage as well as Derek E. Gordon (CEO of Jazz at the Lincoln Center) and talked about the incredible acheivement for Jazz and Satellite Radio this partnership is. Tony Bennett made an appearance and again reinforced what this partnership means to Jazz. Awesome.

(I know awful shots, but I was into music and pretty much forgot about the camera at this point.)

India Arie opened up with some incredible pieces, followed by none-other than Wynton Marsalis. Incredible.

I want to truly thank XM for inviting me to this. I had quite a blast and it was quite an honor to attend this celebration.
