Comments
Ryan, you're skimping on the information! :)
With all due respect to Mr. Davis, how does success in the telecommunications industry translate into success in an broadcast entertainment medium? I mean, it's not like selling telephone services is exactly the same thing as radio broadcast...
What kind of responsibilities over daily life at XM will he be overseeing, and what kind of impact can we expect?
Under his previous tenure at XO and Nextel, did Mr. Davis lead the respective companies towards profit, or did he spend the companies into the red?
Depending on the scope of the newly-created position on the board, I can easily see how this could be a disasterous move on their part...

Things just keeping looking better for XM....now alls they need to do is follow through and make these changes actually WORK.
If these changes(marketing, etc.) don't work then we will be seeing Hugh gone.

He's an intellignet man. Let's give him a chance.
I'd like to see someone at XM come from the entertainment business sometime. I'd also like to see Panero on the streetcorner with a tin cup.
Panero is a fucker's fucker. Stock-dumper. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go.

If you didn't care then why did you comment?
Plowboy1...I've seen you before on XMFan..don't start your stuff here. You got kicked out of their after repeating yourself and pretty much spamming topics. Good thing you can't post news because it would be about the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

hopefully he is a fan of the boys and understands how important they are to XM.

Oh we just had to bring O&A into this didn't we! They're not the only thing on XM, there are hundreds of channels. They have one of the most popular channels on the platform, but it's not all about them. Get a grip, please.

Hopefully the forces of darkness (Oprah, Nate Davis) will save us.

For all of the focus on whether or not Nate Davis has the technical background to "Rising the machine" of XM Radio, how can one not beleive that his communications background doesn't qualify. His past success in other companies as well as his personal morels in life can do nothing less than keeping XM Radio a GOOD company. I have personally had the oppurtunity to meet and work alongside Nate Davis and am confident in his abilities as a leader and true " Force for the people" when it comes to Satellite Radio.
