BB King is planning to host his very own weekly blues show for XM. So in anticipation of King's hosting debut, today XM relaunched its blues channel "Bluesville" as "BB King's Bluesville."Starting in September, BB King's weekly program will feature a wide range of blues and gospel music hand-selected by the legend, along with stories about the artists and other personal anecdotes from his epic career.
Riley B. King - better known as B.B. King - was born September 16, 1925, on a plantation in Itta Bene, Mississippi. In his youth, he played on street corners for dimes, and would sometimes play in as many as four towns a night. In 1947, he hitchhiked to Memphis, TN, to pursue his music career. And for more than 60 years, B.B. King has defined the blues for a worldwide audience.
"I love the blues and am looking forward to sharing my passion, stories and my favorite music with all the folks who listen to XM, one of the few places where the vibrant sounds of the blues still thrives," said B.B. King.

Dear Satellite Radio Subscribers,
We're down to the wire. You guys need to quit wasting your energy squabbling with the Anonymous Cowards on this site. Email and call Commissioner Tate to remind her that the NAB and C3SR don't have our best interests at heart, but their own.
Email Commissioner Tate at http://www.fcc.gov/commissioners/tate/mail.html
Call her at 202-418-2500. Keep in mind, the NAB and its shills are working round the clock to derail, delay or in anyway diminish the impact of this merger.
The NAB claims it is deeply concerned about the impact of this merger on satellite radio consumers. We should be deeply concerned about the impact that not approving this merger will have on terrestrial radio consumers. Perhaps if they had some real competition they would cut back on the commercial breaks they subject their consumers to.
Greta to see the "Beale Street Blues Boy" get even more recognition. One of the true giants of American music. Way to go. Love ya, B.B.

Dear Commissioner Tate,
The NAB does not represent satellite radio, therefore it does not represent satellite radio consumers. It seems to me that the NAB are misrepresenting themselves to the FCC when they claim to be arguing their case "that a merged Sirius-XM will harm consumers." Which consumers is the NAB talking about, the satellite radio consumer, or the consumers their organization is going to loose to satellite radio should the merger be approved? Maybe the NAB should discuss this technicality with their legal team, and the FCC do the same, as should Sirius and XM with their legal teams.
Please approve this merger without conditions as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Peter Mackreth
