XM Satellite Radio has quietly released a new online program guide on their website today, and in my opinion it is by far one of the most useful features on the site yet.
As soon as you go to the "On XM" section of the website, you can see each specific program playing right now on every XM channel. Users can scroll ahead to see what’s playing on each channel later today, or later this week.

Hover your mouse over any show, and show information pops up (see above) complete with the number of minutes the show runs for.

If you click on a show/channel, the guide expands to display more show information and allows you to save the show by clicking the "Add to My Favorite Shows" link (awesome). Clicking on each channel takes you to completely updated versions of each and every channel's webpage
It’s sort of like the TV Guide Channel for XM - or similar to digital cable/satellite interfaces - but with 10-times more interactivity. I'm absolutely in love with this feature.
(Note: This is definitely a freshly unveiled feature, so you may experience a wrinkle or three. Just hit the "ok" button and the content will load. I'm told the guys are working to make sure everything is running smoothly in the near future.)
...and yes, it works on the Mac.
Check it out here and report back here with your thoughts. I'd love to read what others think in the comments.

Nice!
I like it. A little slow, but hopefully that will improve.
Now I can finally figure out the weekend replays on 202... And find shows on XMX I want to listen to.
My only wish was that this mini feature was on the Inno... Maybe in the future.
Very nice! This is a long overdue feature. Hopefully, it will remain updated at all times. Good job, XM!
Ugh, seriously, no more commenting or reading of comments for me. Just lame now. The Stern people are children and reflect very accurately on their here.
Ryan, sorry, But I am done with reading comments for, well, forever I guess... or until these people's hero retires.
Dorks. You people are dorks
Finally! Now I don't have to try and bring back WhatsOnMyXM :) I do know first hand how much of a pain these are to maintain, so hopefully they do it... that's definitely the hardest part.
I'm a Sirius subscriber and I think that a very cool feature XM offers on their site. Kudos.
You guys are going to make this a pain for me aren't you?
Abusive comments - and you know who they are - will be deleted.
Repeat offenders - and you know who you are - will be banned.
theres a sirius one too...not by sirius though

Cool feature.
I like it....
Did you notice that "On XM" lists classical music selections in advance? Click on the details for tomorrow's Elena See program on 110, for example.
I thought this was a no-no under the DMCA.

I like Ryan's feature he mentioned in the comment above almost as much as the program guide. Kudos to both! :)
Duly noted.
The program guide is a much needed feature.
No disrespect.
hoo hoo
@TVGeni: I think a lot of people will. :)
checked it out
XM202 2pm:Wacky Morning Zoo Radio Replay
at least it's accurate
0.0, instead of itsonsirius.com use dogstarradio.com
itsonsirius isn't very good, IMO. Hope that isn't your site.
And let's keep the snide shock jock comments out of this thread. Thanks.
Coming in Jan on 202, it says please subscribe to our 0.0 podcast. We have merged with Sirius and are now out of a job.
FInally! I've been wondering why XM couldn't create something like this. Hopefully this stays more updated than their individual station websites. Great find Ryan.
And way to crack down on the stern and O&A fools
By the way, noticing some issues with my opera browser. Haven't tried it at home with other browsers. Hopefully this is an issue which will be remedied.
This is very nice. Just wish there was a way to get it directly on a reciever...I'd like to listen to 163 more but I never what's playing when..
LOVING IT! I'm a dual subscriber and have been listening mostly to SIRIUS lately, but this will help me setup recordings on my Inno (some great holiday specials on 164 // Radio Classics!). Thanks for the heads up, Ryan!
Using Firefox 2.0.0.11, however, I do see a couple "server error: 500" messages...page still works, but just an error I noticed...
GET RID OF THE TRASH RYAN, WE POKE AT THE OTHER BUT ITS GONE OVERBOARD.
REMEMBER ASSHAT "RAMONE" YOU GOT RID OF HIM, BUT WAITED TO LONG TO DO IT.
STERN GUY 100% BUT THE NEW ASSHATS ARE RETARDS.
0.0,......oh sorry. kidding
Ryan, what ever happened to typekey? wont that help
wow thats very cool Ryan, I hope eventually we can sync it with the inno and just click on what we want to record that would rock. I have to agree the comments are really pushing me away from the sitte, I just don't want to weed through them. Thanks for all your hard work!

I heard Boardroom Jimmy doesn't like it.
Hopefully they share info this with DirecTV and get it on their program guide there, too. That would be amazing!
Ryan...Orbitcast is my first stop for Satrad news, but I agree the stupidity between XM/Sirius fan(atic)s was getting out of hand. I'm glad you laid down the law before it diminished the tone of your fine website.
I see your mouse is hovering over the best show on XM.
this freaking rocks! i agree this would be very useful on an inno.
and thanks for cleaning up the comments. started to feel like high school.
This is exactly what I want only in the sirius variety 5 startz!!! Way to go XM
Nicely done XM!
This just in: censorship is alive and well not only on XM but Orbitcast as well! This is so cool, can't for all the family friendly pc comments to ensue.
@MikeP: No, that won't be the case at all - but it needs to stop. The comments have gotten out of hand (once again).
@tom c: TypeKey has been permanently broken since I switched servers a few months back. Yet another reason why I think the comments have turned into mayhem.
I can see everyone's IP addresses, and it's really only a couple bored people who are instigating the abuse. They even argue with themselves, posing as both O&A and Stern fans (seriously, someone needs to find a girlfriend).

post the muti names, might stop
IT'S ABOUT TIME XM!!!
Something like this has been LONG overdue, and they seem to have done VERY well with this, IMHO. Obviously some of the DJ-less music channels have only one program... but those with DJ's, it's nice to know who's on the air, when, and what other programs - special or regular - are on.
BTW... works good on Safari under Leopard.
Thank you Ryan. I love this site and don't mind some back and forth ribbing on the 2 shows when it's at least on topic but it's gotten to the point where the comments section is nothing but flame wars back and forth regardless of the topic and the majority of the posts aren't funny, just tedious.
