XM Issues $98 Million worth in a Private Transaction

XM Satellite Radio said Thursday it agreed to issue 2.7 million Class A common shares in a private transaction for about $98 million worth of senior discount notes due in 2009.
The satellite radio broadcaster expects to deliver the shares Thursday, according to a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The recipient of the shares was not identified in the filing.
