Farm Aid 2006 Live on XM Satellite Radio

Farm Aid 2006XM Satellite Radio will be broadcasting the Farm Aid 2006 concert live this Saturday, September 30th on XM's Americana channel X Country (ch 12).

The Farm Aid concert lineup will feature Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews, as well as musicians Jerry Lee Lewis with Roy Head; Los Lonely Boys; Gov't Mule; Steve Earle; Steel Pulse; Shelby Lynne; and others.

XM's Ray Knight, Jessie Scott and others will co-host XM's coverage of concert starting at 3:30pm ET with artist interviews and live performances from the Farm Aid 2006 stage.

WorldSpace (and XM) Covering The Virgin Festival

Virgin FestivalWorldSpace Satellite Radio will be broadcasting from the Virgin Festival at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore on WorldSpace's UPop channel. Live reports from the festival as well as exclusive backstage interviews will be broadcast all day Saturday, September 23rd.

The one-day festival will feature over 20 acts on 3 stages (2 outdoor performance stages and 1 within a tent) featuring artists such as The Raconteurs, Wolfmother, Gnarls Barkley, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, DJ Tiesto and a few more.

WorldSpace will also carry the Virgin Festival via "U-Podcasts" on their website, and will feature replays throughout the month on Bob (WorldSpace ch 177), Spin (WorldSpace ch 44), and Voyager (WorldSpace ch 11).

XM Satellite Radio subscribers also get UPop (ch 29), as well as DirecTV subscribers (ch 824) and if that doesn't cut it, its also available on AOL Radio.

Ludacris at XM Performance Theater

Ludacris at XMChris "Ludacris" Bridges, hip-hop artist/actor/XM disc jockey extrodinare, hung out at The Eck Friday afternoon to tape an episode of "Artist Confidential."  

Ludacris performed in front of a group of 50 fans at the XM performance theater.  He took questions from the audience as well as Raw on-air host Mz. Kitti.  

His upcoming album "Release Therapy" drops on September 26. There's another photo from the appearance after the jump...

Austin City Limits on XMXM Satellite Radio is providing VIP coverage of Austin City Limits 2006, on XMU (ch 43), this Saturday and Sunday beginning at 9am West and 12-Noon East.

The Austin City Limits 2006 concert features 130 Bands, with 3 Days of music, on 8 Stages.

New Fall Season of Original XM Programming Starting This Month

Tune in this fall to hear interviews and exclusive live performances of artists from a wide range of genres including Sting, Tony Bennett, Ludacris, Chicago, Amy Grant and yes - even Pink

Artist Confidential, hosted by XM's George Taylor Morris, features celebrated artists live before an audience of fans at the XM Performance Theater in Washington, DC and XM studios in New York City.

The Then...Again...Live! series takes classic albums, and gives the artist an opportunity to reinterpret it, in sequence, in front of a live audience.

Offstage puts XM's music library into the hands of a well-known artist to play and talk about the music they love.
