Three national magazines - Wired, Popular Science, and USA Today NOW - have given XM Satellite Radio's XM2go line of portable receivers top honors:
Popular Science magazine has chosen the MyFi XM2go radio for its "Best of What's New 2005" award. The MyFi will be displayed at a public exhibition hosted by Popular Science at Grand Central Terminal in NYC, November 8-10. (I haven't had the chance to check this out yet - usually too busy trying to catch a train.) - WIRED magazine named the portable Tao XM2go radio its "Editor's Pick" when they reviewed multiple satellite radio receivers in their consumer product buying guide.
- USA Today's consumer tech guide USA TODAY NOW Personal Technology selected the portable Pioneer AirWare XM2go radio as one of its Top 10 "coolest tech products" for the holidays.
Even more interesting, at least from my point of view since I write about this stuff everyday, is that XM wrote a press release about this. I'm seeing a different style coming from them in the PR sense - an indication of things heating up this Holiday Season as both companies are going to be doing one heck of a media blitz. Things are going to be interesting from now on!
