XM Satellite Radio and Chevrolet are unveiling a live mobile broadcast studio at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame at Talladega Speedway during coverage of the UAW Ford 500 weekend.
Claire B. Lang will be using the vehicle - a pimped out 2008 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ - as her studio on wheels as she travels the racing circuit to broadcast her daily weekday show “Dialed In,” on XM Sports Nation (ch 144).
The XM/Chevrolet Mobile Studio is outfitted with the latest mobile broadcast technology, allowing Claire to research, produce and broadcast a complete show... literally anywhere.
The Suburban LTZ rocks the latest state-of-the-art audio and video technology, including a Broadband Global Area Network satellite uplink, a 12-channel audio mixer, and a handheld Access Portable unit capable of effectively sending mono, stereo or dual mono audio over satellite. Claire can easily host up to five on-air guests with headsets and microphones for each. The vehicle also has a PA system built-in so fans can experience the show live, from any location.

Lang when the vehicle makes its first appearance outside the International Motorsports Hall of Fame (3198 Speedway Blvd) during the UAW Ford 500 weekend in front of the Talladega Speedway in Talladega, Ala. Claire will be broadcasting “Dialed In” from this location live, today and tomorrow, from 4pm - 7pm ET.

Nothing special . Something larger would be better so everybody could see the XM logo.
I would wager most anything that Claire has more callers to her show than any other on XM. Period. And that she can pull it off every day givent he logistic problems is simply amazing.

Is this the new studio 0.0 have been bragging about? Haha, they will probably just let them ride around on Long Island and tell them they are on the air, but Mel will have long pulled the plug, and they'll be the same boring hacks talking to themselves that they are now.

Jeff, GM will probably go 100% install when they do not allow customers like me that order 1 vehicle and have XM factory uninstalled. Sorry if they allow a delete option then 100% install will never happen. When I sell the truck in 3-4 years the new owner will not have XM. :(
