XMradio.com wins 2007 WebAward for "Best Radio Website"

xmradio.com

The guys at XM Online Marketing must be smiling ear-to-ear today, because xmradio.com just recognized as "Best Radio Website" in the 2007 WebAwards from the Web Marketing Association.

The panel of independent judges described the site as having a "very intuitive interface, great logically structured content and a clean design."

Designed and built by Avenue A - Razorfish, the XM Online Marketing team managed the design and development of xmradio.com.

It's quite the accomplishment considering that a year ago ClickZ blasted XM's website in a head-to-head usability comparison to Sirius.com. Not too long afterward, XM completely redesigned their website - similar to what we see today, but with incremental improvements along the way.

Great to see everyone's hard work getting recognized. Congrats!

XM's website is pretty and it provides a basic level of information, but personally, I think it stinks. The schedules are always old. Only the featured shows get anything more than a show description.

How hard is it to create a show grid and keep it up to date? How about live performances and such posted so we can look forward to what's happening. It sure would increase the ability to use the Inno to it's fullest capacity.

Perfect example:

"Diggin' In The Vaults
Mondays - 6PM ET

Every Monday at 6PM ET will be a dedicated time where Rhyme - XM 65 will play past performances (recorded live at XM or recorded by XM at venues around the country), Rhyme Crew specials, and artist channel takeovers from the past couple years. If you missed it the first time, here is your chance to catch it again!"

How about letting us know what's on this week, or next week. It's all previously recorded stuff. Setting up a schedule for it can't be that hard.

Ok, I'm done bitching.

Didn't Sirius win a similar award last year?
