Duties & Responsibilities
- The Engineer will work as an employee of the Interoperable Technologies LLC in Deerfield Beach, FL (). Interoperable Technologies is a joint venture between XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio to implement and evaluate new features and functions for an Interoperable Radio receiver.
- As part of a development team the Engineers responsibilities will include all aspects of embedded software design ranging from initial concepts through design, test planning, verification testing, and documentation.
- Develop microcontroller software for an interoperable satellite radio using structured methods, testing & documentation.
- Assist with the development of procedures and processes, participate in tests and simulations, troubleshoot and solve problems, and monitor and verify the radio operation.
- Interface with XM and Sirius as required as well as various support and contract resources.

Not an indication of a merger at all. Both companies agreed as part of the FCC licensing to design a joint radio to receive both. No timetable was set. It's moving slowly forward.
